He did play in the 4th quarter. And he was deadly accurate until he got slammed by a missed block.

You still haven’t provided any evidence of meddling

Yeah Fournette, TM7, and PP7 never got this kind of PR push.

I'm not even talking about the PR push. I'm talking about ACTIVELY looking to make sure his stat line looks Heisman worthy. We're CLEARLY doing that.

We ran Fournette a ton in 2015, but Miles did the kid no favors in terms of what he was forced to run into. and, we pulled him in blowout wins when he was poised to go over 250 many MANY times. And that was even missing out on feasting on McNesse.

You don't think there is an effort to change the offense to add more run plays. And change the blocking schemes to facilitate more rushing? Really?

And why would this be a problem? If the rushing attack is great and the passing game is great how can that be a bad thing? defenses would really be fricked. We have great rbs also they need to get some plays

Saban will destroy a one dimensional offense without breaking a sweat.

It appears that there are guys in the program who want to handcuff Brady's offense, and add more run game

Who wants to slow it down?

Oh for fricks sake. I replied before I realized this was idiot Joe’s thread.

that's an assumption, maybe a bad one.

IF we control the scoreboard, we don't need no frigging clock.
100% correct.

And the D doesn't need to hold opponents to 15 points. Just make a few stops. E/Brady's Spread/RPO will handle the rest.

If the rushing attack is "great", then Spread/RPO blocking schemes are not being used.

Instead, O-line will have to get downfield (past 3 yards) to hit LBs and DBs. And at least 3 of the Spread receivers will have blocking assignments - not pass routes.

Its a lot harder to stop a really good passing game than to just put 2500 pounds of humanity in the box.

I haven't had a chance to see the game again. Who was the RB on that play?

It was Emery, but go watch the play, There is no way he comes back to make that block when he is running the opposite way for the RPO or PA (I haven't gotten to take a look to see wich it is)

We had a guy come off the left edge unblocked.

Who said anything about fans. D coaches ALWAYS want to slow down the offense. It is in their DNA.
Orgeron is a "D" coach. Yet the offense has gotten incredibly faster while he has been head coach. The only meddling he has done was two years ago when he only had a handful of healthy dline.

The only coach who consistently wanted to slow down the offense and constantly meddled was Les Miles, and he was considered an "O" coach.

It is better to remain silent and let people think that you are dumb. Than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

Nearly all the runs in Brady's offense have a mesh point - which allows for the pass option - if available or necessary. (and keep the O-Line within 3 yards)

The new runs can't have an RPO element if an O-Lineman has an assignment past 3 yards - on a DB or LB, for instace.

Unblocked means missed assignment. Not laying it on anyone without seeing the play again. But clearly a missed assignment (any way you slice it) that got the QB dinged up.

Sure, but i don't think you can lay that one on the RB.

And again CEH is clearly our #1 guy. Great vision, great shiftyness, great blocking, decent hands out the backfield.

But we can get more out of the other RBs.

you need to calm down

we will run from the gun when needed

in due time

many other spread teams are RUN first spread teams and not SPREAD pass first.

we are spread pass first and we will keep rolling like that
