he is not a great COACH. He's a great recruited, a horrible PR guy, horrible motivator, a great character guy, but not a great coach.
[/quote

All he needs to do is hire a great OC and get his hands off the offense and the personnel. Stick to recruiting and PR

Which brings up an interesting point. Assuming he hasn't made any bad investments, Miles already has enough money to live on the rest of his life. So from here on out he's only coaching because he wants to. At any point he can say frick it and go play golf or whatever he likes to do in his free time.

are you serious? It doesn't take a great coach to go 13-0 with the talent we have. Props to Les he recruited them, but after last night to put him in the classification as great is ignorant. And if we didn't have Chavis, we lose 4 games this year. Bama twice, west virginia, and oregon.

We went 13-0 brah. We played the toughest schedule and were the only undefeated team. And we did it with mild QB play. That tells you something. Although he laid an egg last night, he is still a great coach.

He definitely can't repeat this winning 13 games in a season thing if he wants a forced ticket out of here.

Which one of the great coaches in your mind went 13-0 this season?

Miles is staying. He should stay. Who replaces him? As long as Saban is at BAMA it doesn't matter.

That's a hell of an assumption.

Who got the recruits here? The OC and DC here? Who has done a great job all year and for the past 7 years. He has had bad games, so has Saban and all great coaches.

He likes being a football coach - for $8,000 a year as a GA at Michigan or $3.751 million at LSU.

I can see a day when his "want" to spend more time with his family or finally getting fed up with unrealistic fan expectations makes the man quit, but I think he has a pretty thick hide and enjoys what he's doing. I can see Les coaching at least another 7 or 8 years and possibly much longer.

as long as he's healthy, and as long as he wants. you don't even talk about firing a hc with his record nevermind the fact he just won the sec championship and played for the nc.

did some of you figs not watch the game last night? over a MONTH to prepare and what happened? Defense played great seeing they were on the field 49 out of 60 minutes, but Miles has nothing to do with the defensive. He's an offensive guy, and did you see what happened? You call that great? You're out of your box!
