Are there other people that were stupid enough to believe Darius days would have been better off transferring elsewhere prior to his senior season at lsu, or was that just you?
As I recall, I said it might be in his best interest to find a program where he would be a central point of the offense. You know, to help his pro prospects. Horrible thought, I know...

Meanwhile, have you had an original thought in the 5 years since I said that? Anything?

It's nowhere near true. The #1 sport on campus for at least half of Dale's tenure was basketball.
The attendance was still pretty poor given the star power LSU and the SEC had. I remember watching a game against Allan Houston in the heyday from the 2nd row.

That's bullshite.

We used to line up for MBB games and TS was 60% filled when I was a student.

Apparently about a half a million to a million per SEC win

Um, no. Sure there were some good games. Duke was great, but I was one of the first groups to camp out. Very few other games were all that huge.

Oh hell no. Maybe when I write a screen scrape program to update the score. Should have taken that espn job way back when...

Dude, no joke.

If you ever want some of us to respect you, start the game thread.

We've all been there when no one really want to. I've done it with Brady, TJ, CJJ, CWW - I don't want to do it. Keep up the score man. We'll request stickies.

Absolutely and the roundball games were blast to attend, too. I was at LSU in the late '70's-to-mid-80's and the football team was mediocre-at-best with the '81 & '83 seasons being a complete disaster; baseball was not even on the radar and was lucky to draw 200 fans a game. Basketball was rockin'.

Yep! The line for the student section when LSU played Houston in '83 extended all the way to Mike's cage. My girlfriend and I couldn't get in to the game so we watched in on TV in The Bayou.
