I think it's more how they look. If they cant run the ball but score 60 on pick sixes I think there will still be groans but if they move the ball consistently on O and score 35-40 I think most will be happy.

1. High 3rd down conversion rate
2. 5+ yards per carry outside of any explosive plays
3. Show that we can stretch the field through the air at will.
These are not major asks when we're talking about an FCS opponent. Hit 2/3 of those and I'll consider it to be progress. Hit all 3, and I'll be drunkenly saying some very irresponsible things on Saturday night.

My dream is we score at least 31 in the first half with Nuss having at least 3 long TD passes. For the 2nd half, Nuss sits, but we still end up with 45 or more points.

If the score is high and Nuss does well. Everyone will think he is back against a high school team.
In reality, what can he do against these teams (Ohio st., Penn, Bama, Oklahoma….). These are teams we will likely play if we make it to 12 team playoffs. And need all the points we can get.
Clemson is questionable. So, idk how well we actually played.

Run for min 150yds
Pass for min 250 yds
That would equate to at least 30+ point win . Even our 2nd string defense will shut them down. Might score when 3rd string gets in if that happens.

Depends.
If its a shutout, 30 pts and no injuries will do.
If they score 14 or more, 55 or more points may not be enough for the Rant.

We have to score on 2 thirds of the drives Nuss plays. We have to stop failing on offense. Even if it’s just field goals, that’s progress over all these stupid 3 and outs.

Id love to see a piling up stats game just so everyone shuts up...including myself. Rush for 175 with a 6 ypc average on 28-30 carries, then Nuss go for over 300 with 4 TDs on 30 plus attempts.
