This guy!

Nebraska is one of the few big-name programs we have yet to beat.

Showing my age, I certainly remember the arse-beatings they gave us during my high school years in the 80s- in 2 Sugar Bowls. I attended the one in '87. Nebraska was a machine in those days; they just wore teams down with their strength.

So, for selfish-as-hell reasons, I'd love to see Mett & Co kill this red demon right before our very eyes.

Let it happen.

I still have my "Piss on Nebraska" button from the 80's. 1 loss in the Orange; 2 losses in the Sugar. Let's shuck those Huskers!

Perhaps, but we've never beaten Nebraska.

This is what I'm talking about! I knew some of the guys "around my age+" would remember those games....

Both of those Sugar Bowls were ROUGH. We started out on fire- only to be literally run over them in the second half.

And I wonder if that jackass Husker fan with the "drum" (Crazy Bob, I think ) is still around? He was obnoxious as hell leading that damned "GO BIG RED" chant in the stands while beating his stupid drum....

Yeah, it's an old wound that STILL bothers me. LSU FB needs to pin a bowl loss on them....

Used to love Nebraska back in the late 80's and through the 90's. Had a cousin and family friend from Slidell that played there from about 88-92. Cedric Collins the family member and Reggie Cooper the family friend.

I wouldn't mind a match-up when they're are playing better.

i grew up hating nebraska (part of my first memories of LSU football) bc of those sugar bowls and their success through the 90's. never even met a fan from nebraska till the late 90's and they love us.

don't know if its bc of the CWS's or what. i've met a couple of dozen of them through the years and they're all so nice i just can't hate them anymore.

so CSB and all but i definitely think they're are worst fans to mix it up with than them.

I hated them back in the day, kind in the same way I hated ND and USC. One the the greatest payback games I ever saw was Colorado hanging 62 on them back in 2001. Its fun watching teams run up the score on a program that made a living scoring 70+ on hapless, weak opponents.

That love for us might change a bit if we give them the kind of arse-kickings they grew accustomed to giving us, back in the day....

Don't forget a L in Lincoln 75 and the infamous 6-6 tie at TS 76; I remember this frustrating game game my soph year Tigers played the #1 Huskers off their feet entire game, Good ole Rusty Dominque!
Sure , I would want to play them now!

For this reason alone. Those 2 Sugars, plus the Orange Bowl after the '82 season. frick those guys.

We have net played them since January of 1987.

I'd say that qualifies under your scenario. Unless you'd rather face Hawaii.

I would love another crack at Nebraska.

The younger fans lack perspective on this one.
