I am a lsu fan always and that includes their coaches .I can truthfully say that I like O and appreciate the fact that he was able to slow down the recruit bleeding when he took over , no body else could have done that . I will miss Coach Miles but I appreciate the legacy he left us !

Les caught a break and then took advantage of it for a while at LSU. He would not have been the first choice if other more qualified coaches would have been available.
I'm really not sure how we got down this path, but Miles was a much better hire than 0. It's not even remotely comparable.

Recruit bleeding? You are aware that this past years class (2018) is the lowest ranked class since 2002, right?
From 2005 to 2017, LSU only had 3 classes ranked lower than 10. 2005 was ranked 14th, 2008 was ranked 13th and 2012 was ranked 13th.
Orgerons only class where it's all his doing as head coach, is this years class which was ranked 15th. The 2017 class was started while Miles was still the head coach.
These recruiting rankings are on the 247 site, Other sites may be a little different, but they wasn't any "recruit bleeding" happening.

Jefferson was a 2017 signee, Tracy was a transfer and transfers aren’t counted in the rankings

When coach Miles was fired we had one of the top recruit classes in the country ,O did hang on a enough of the bailing recruites to not make us a joke the following year !
