9" right and left. Had to look up how the NFL measured hand size when I started reading this thread.

9.25” and my hands are bigger than the vast majority of men. Either folks in this thread are full of baloney, or only the guys with big hands are responding.

I’m about the same height as you. My hands are right at 9 1/8”.

I've measured another part of my body quite a few times. I can tell you it does not shrink with age.

While it "may not shrink with age", if you gain or lose weight, the zero datum for your measuring device will change. 80lbs might cost you 2", so if you like the rice and gravy too much, you might want to buzz cut the sourounding shrubs so your building looks taller than it otherwise would and your ego takes less of a hit.

I’ve got what I thought were relatively small hands and mine measured 9”. Glad to know that I chose my sports wisely and never tried to play quarterback.

My hands are somewhere between 9.25 and 9.5; i never considered 9" relatively small hands...thats glove size large or extra large, depending on girth. Im 5'11" without shoes, have wide frame, and weigh 275. Most people peg me about 240 lbs...i don't look obese, just have athletic/thick build. When i got out of the Marines in 2001, i was 215, and that was lean mean, no fat.

I've seen men with embarrassingly small hands, even shook hands with them. Always wondered how they ate a whopper. All joking aside, i couldn't stop staring at their hands.

I think in terms of NFL QBs, if the prototypical QB is 6'5" or 6'4", you'd expect their hands to average a proportional bigger span; but that's not really a hard rule.

Having played on 3 different football teams(different cities, different levels) and also been in the Marine Corps (where in bootcamp you are forced to shower with about 90 other guys and only given about 2 minutes to shower), i can concretely say there are a few myths -- aspects about the body we all assume to be proportionate that aren't always.

Long story short, height, hand size, foot size, and race do not all consistently equate to penis size. I have no scientific data or studies to give a concrete %, but based on unwilling observation, i'd say a correlation of proportion exists in somewhere between 60% and 75% of the population.

I've seen enough examples of "how'd that happen" with genetic roulette-- both good and bad, but all surprising, to say that big/small of one thing does not translate to big/small of the other.

Until the last few years of high school, i was born and raised in a small town, and never in an environment where males where either all showering at the same time sharing a central showerhead that shot water in 20 directions, or a communal area where guys are naked without modesty, such as a locker room for organized sport, campus pool, sauna, gym, prison, ecetera.

Was a culture shock at first for those like me who were accustomed to shower stalls, privacy, ect. but soon enough nobody gave a damn. I go into this detail because a great majority of adults haven't experienced that kind of environment. Example - many women would be in disbelief if they found themselves in an environment like that.

Almost all the schools i went to, including a few college campuses, either didn't have stalls or if they did, they didnt have doors to the stalls where toilets are, and many just hhad a long trough everyone pissed instead or urinals. I've known women who flat disbelieve that because they have no experience to compare that to...they've never seen stalls without doors or the kind of showers i describe; for many women that would be a dealbreaker ??

Is it really a measure of hand size, or pinky/thumb abduction flexibility? Seems like there would be better ways to measure hand size.
