And Saban would have probably the same results.
LSU wins the NC in 2006 if Saban is here as well as 2007. AND would have been MUCH better last year than Miles was.

Would an admin ban this gump already?

I like Saban, but I'll never be his bitch. As for you, you should gargle after every other swallow.

PJ, get serious....
Sure, Miles screwed up with co-DCs. He admitted he made a mistake and corrected it. How many OCs has Saban run off?
Your points, besides the Co DCs, are weak.

oh sure. All the flags at Auburn would have never been thrown. No doubt at UF JR never fumbles the snap on the one, and tosses a couple INTs. And no doubt Saban would have blocked the sun on the second half kickoff. You're deluded if you think it would have made a diffence in 2006.
as well as 2007.
Miles did.

Flip, not sure that was directed to me, I am no bandwaggon fan, I assure you. For PJ, or anyone else to think LSU would have beaten Auburn (has everyone forgotton the bang up job Saban did in 2004
against them?) or Florida in 2006 is....well, stupid.
We finished #3 in 2006. Saban would have finished no higher.

With 29 posts, and a naked poster of Nick Saban in his bathroom, no doubt.

The probable answer is 1 more..2006 probably wouldn't have been squandered..despite also Saban's propensity to lose at Auburn and Florida..a split of the two allows LSU's players a second look at Florida on a neutral field..and Florida wasn't particularly strong that day down the stretch vs Ark..very shaky in 3rd and 4th qtrs..at a time when LSU's Offense was gelling at the end of the year.
2009? LMAO Bucknuts..with our subpar OL and DL..mediocre LB play..green QB play..and in a year where Bama and Fla have loaded and/or near complete teams.
I'm still slightly surprised the Tigers played either as closely as LSU did..don't think we're nearly as close to either as the final scores indicated this year.

How does LSU split?
Refs cost LSU the game in 2004. Saban did NOTHING. Would he done anything in 2006?
Would Saban changed the turnovers by JR at Florida? LSU went up and down the field all day on UF. A lost punt in the sun, JR's fumble on the one, Doucet's fumble on the second half kickoff... no way would Saban made a difference in 2006.
IMO, Saban would have lost another game.

Everyone has to rebuild. Bama will next year.

But he clearly was not happy here
He was never "happy" here. He always saw LSU as a stepping stone to the NFL. He had no plans for being a long time coach here. The NFL was always his goal.
Be careful what you wish for, Nick. The really big boys might just kick your arse.

MIles has lost his team with all the RP crap. Saban would NOT have allowed that. LOOK at what he is doing at Bama. Get your head out of your arse.

I agree we probably win in 06, but I think we lose in 07. First, do we have RP if Saban is still here? probably not. second, Les made many risky calls that year to get our team to victory. Especially in the florida game. Not sure if Saban would be willing to do that.
I do think we would be a much better team in 08,09 as well, but Les did a magnificent job in 07 that I don't think Saban could repeat.
