LSU Groupee, I don't have the time or inclination to fact check your entire account of Les's career, but since I do know that Ohio State went undefeated last year, it alone indicates that you are but another delusional pumper Oh, wait, I see you mean that impressive out of conference record. Do you have any statistics on how many top 25 teams vs. rent-a-wins, e.g. Kent State, Furman, etc, LSU has played compared to other FBS teams' OOC schedules. This year, three out of four OOC games were against weak programs, i.e. rent-a-wins. Your 85% win record "since 2010" includes 2011, 2012 and 2013 presumably. 30 wins, 6 losses so far. That's only 84% and don't bet on the percentages improving by the end of this season. Hey, if you're as happy with the direction of the program as you are with its history, good for you. Bask in the sunshine

"Hate" is used too much. To me, hate means that I could see him killed and it wouldn't phase me. I don't hate him. I have a strong dislike for him because of his actions. His days here weren't always rosey. He took a lot of shite here. I guess in a weird way that's how our fan base show's their love. It's like a close family member. You can talk shite about that person, but you would lose your shite if someone outside the family said the same. It's definitely a feeling of betrayal more than anything else. Before Saban took the job at bama I didn't have the bad feelings towards him and I never disliked bama.(more than any other SEC team) I have a strong dislike of bama fans now that will long outlive the rest of Nick's tenure there. That is because I've finally gotten to see that they really do think that they're God's gift to College Football and all other fan bases should bow down. Well, Nick is the key to all of that. Nick took them back there. By taking the bama job, he knew that he would have to hurt the LSU program in some way to build bama back up again. That right there is why I dislike him. F#%k bama!!

Would you still love Saban if he married your sister (wife) and moved to Texas? Louisiana as opposed to Alabama, frowns on marrying relatives. Y'all have football, we have so much more. While y'all are worrying about recruiting, we're worrying about the next party. We'll win the party every time. Good luck with watching the paint dry on your wife. Already seen it on the net.

I kind of feel sorry for Nick Saban. He seems like a miserable person. He seemed like a miserable person when he lived here in BR.

People who stay mad, bitchy and arrogant have personal issues that need to be addressed.

I only hate that he left LSU. He got the program back up and running. Without his time at LSU I don't think we would be having the great success that we have had . He planted the seeds.

That part sucks, but when it comes down to me and my family in that tough decision he had to make, I can't blame for making it because I would have done the same.

That's why I don't blame him or hate him for that matter.

I hate the situation.

Hate period he is single handily driving our proud into the ground with his shady recruiting tactics. Hiring High school coaches and girl friends.

While I thank Nick for his efforts, some of those seeds had been planted before his arrival by GD.

People, in their rush to crown Nick as the LSU savior, seem to forget that GD was the HC who stopped the LSU bleeding that had gone on for 6 yrs with a LSU winning % of 38%. Before the GD arrival, top La HS players were flocking out of the state by the car loads.

No doubt that Nick did some planting, but he also repeated the harvest of what had been planted before his time here.

Les also go some of Nick's planting, but Les has been living off his own seed planting for a longgggg time now.

The idea that Nick still has to be given credit for Les' success, 9 yrs after Nick decided that LSU wasn't a good enough coaching gig for him, is more than a little amusing and shows a lack of understanding bout how SEC/BCS football works. imo

all the while Saban has a similar record while playing weaker opponents both in and out of conference.

You should be a Bama fan.

I agree with this. Bottom Line is that Saban is a control freak and wanted to try the NFL. He failed. He wanted to get CONTROL again and Bama had the right chance for him at the right time.

You'll get no argument from me. Saban is indeed a control freak, and his coaching style and organizational skills didn't lend itself to succeeding in an NFL environment. Saban excels at CFB because he is willing to outwork the competition to get the best recruits, and develop those players to their fullest potential. As long as he does that and does it well, I could care less if he's the nice guy everyone wants their coach to be. Thats what the chaplain is for.

Count me as a Saban hater, not ashamed to admit it.

He could have been the NCAA all time head coach at LSU.

I have been waiting for someone to say this. As GREAT as he was here. He would NOT commit to a long term deal with LSU. Ya really think Saban would STILL be here 13 years later???? After this year he leaves Bama for Texas.
