It is officially bad until it proves otherwise.

I corrected you when you put up your list of players without much experience. Sucks to be wrong, huh?

Our defense, with the exception of 2006 hasnt been great since the 2003 team. Since then, it's been overrated, but not quite bad.

2004 was a good defense. The offense was putrid that year and the team still won 9 games. Held Auburn, with 3 NFL players in the backfield, to 10 points.

2005 the defense was excellent, again with an underachieving offense.

We had bad games last year too. Kentucky, Arkansas, Alabama games come to mind.

This was the only truly "bad" game this year. Let's see what happens against South Carolina before anyone pushes the panic button.

The defense was excellent in 2005, and great for the first half or so of 2007 until the injuries finally piled up too much.

This is the first season it has simply been bad.

There may be potential to get better, but obviously there is no sign we're getting any closer to realizing that potential.

Ummm, no. All those players had some PT in their respective positions, many with starts. Dorsey was inexperienced?

we played 2 horrible offenses to start last year, and then we were never really good

and don't forget the ole miss game

AU and MSU are both ranked in the 100s in offense and they both got 20+ points on LSU. those were bad games when you look at teh quality of opponents

Discounting LSU's 1st qtr stats vs OOC games, how many of the last 10 or so BCS/SEC foes have led LSU at least 7-0 or more with the game's first scores?

It's attitude as much as anything. Where's the aggression on D nowadays?

AZ State and Tenn were the first games. New coaches. Katrina. Disrupted practices and conditioning. Yes, that all matters. The defense quickly settled down and played very well the rest of the year.

And you know darn well the UGA game in 2005 was after 11 straight games without a BYE week. The whole team was gassed.

Who sits? Who plays in the dime in jones' place? Chad Jones at LB would have won the game Sat? I understand part of chad's problems this year is he's being asked to learn too many positions. What's the rest of your plan?

Kenny "Imma get 200" Irons

Other than that, we were pretty good

Do you honestly think 100% will agree with anyone on anything ?

Honestly,as long as Les Miles knows (regardless of what he says in a press conference)that this defense has major issues, that's all that matters.

If 'BuckyLSU' or 'DouchevilleTiger' thinks everything is hunky-dory, who cares ?

Auburn's offense did not put up 20+ points on LSU.

Nobody complained about the D last year in the BCS game. After the first big run, Beanie was shut down completely.
