How is this even acceptable. Even if football won a championship this year it would not change my feelings on alleva needing to be canned. This wade debacle is hands down the worst of his time at LSU. The entire team is declaring and I don’t blame them. This should have been handled so some of these guys knew what their future at LSU would be like.

Do you know the current landscape in college basketball? This is happening to almost every major program every year.

If the BOS is only about making money, then the damage to the basketball program will COST money because ticket sales will be in the dumper and donations will drop off.

Is it? How many players who weren’t starters as freshman are declaring?

No, it happens to prospects who legitematley have a chance to get drafted.... Mays has zero chance, Tremont has a little chance, Ja'vonte doesn't get drafted this year, he was always supposed to stay at least two years here... so again this doesn't happen to major programs...

Decades? That's a bit dramatic.

That’s laughable considering there are more underclassmen than draft spots who declare every year.

I think this situation sucks but I’m not convinced these guys aren’t just fed bad info about their potential

I think Naz will go 2nd round , & Waters will go undrafted. He (TW) is at a dead end. It's not gonna make him any more apt to be drafted to return to school , unless he hits a 6 inch growth spurt. Naz has always heard how great he is , how great he will be in the NBA , how the path is planned out. I hope he's not in for a rude awakening. I suppose some team will draft him just on potential. All the others , including Skylar , will either be back in school or looking for a job.

This has now become the long decline of a basketball program. 4-5 players leaving and no coach to recruit new players. The longer this goes the worse it gets. You can blame Wade all you want but lack of action by the AD has now cost the program 2 to 3 years of any possible success. The AD either needs to fire Wade and try and get a new coach or get out of the way. The lack of action is now hurting the program

Yeah you can’t miss a beat in recruiting. And this is an entire offseason we will be missing.

Alleva destroyed it with the Johnson hire, the Jones hire, and now the Wade situation.

Alleva has literally watched the women's basketball program gradually worsen over the past 8 years or so.

Alleva needs to be gone now.

All new hires need to be done by a new athletic department administration, competent national search, and a lack of institutional politics!

The biggest problem is our recruiting has been destroyed because of Alleva.
