Hill, Walker and Norman in the last 12 years. Arkansas has 3 on their current staff who have had tj during their Arkansas career.
Do some research before you post such drivel..

Walker is a stud. And doesn’t have the prototypical build for a power pitcher. Kind of frumpy. He’s not ranked in the latest Baseball America Top 400 draft prospects so he is probably going to make it to campus.

He won’t set foot on a college field so it doesn’t really matter.
ETA: just read what the poster above me wrote about pro prospects. That’s really surprising.
ETA2: Also, if it was my kid, I wouldn’t want him going to LSU either. I’m a die hard LSU fan. Went to La Tech for engineering and wore LSU gear to class. But with CPM there and the direction of the academics at LSU, there’s not much to be excited about at LSU at the moment if you’re a straight white baseball prospect.

Lol. You're clueless. He's playing against the highest competition level in high school. Sam Houston is a nationally ranked team that he has dominated twice. 10 inning no-hitter on the biggest stage in the semifinals. Named top 10 candidate for national MVP by Max preps before this performance and has around a 0.4 ERA for the season. LSU flat out missed on him and you just keep trying to defend a losing position.

Anyone trying to defend Paul on this one is stupid. But if being honest, state is the better program right now.

Have you named the players that we’ve missed on yet? Walker is still a wait and see. I’ve never discounted him but I haven’t seen him pitch in college yet. Sure, I wish he would be on LSU’s campus next year.

but PM never even gave him a call when he was being offered by other big time SEC schools. His arrogance didn't even allow him to reach out.
What? That’s quite a jump. So PM is too arrogant to reach out to some kids, but just arrogant enough to reach out to others? What criteria does PM use to decide which kids to be too arrogant to reach out to?

Maybe, just maybe, CPM has other kids he values more. Or maybe he thinks it’s useless to recruit this kid because he’ll go pro. The one thing I’m fairly positive about is that CPM doesn’t have two lists of kids - one for which he’s too arrogant to recruit, and the other for which he’s not too arrogant.

I'm just saying that PM dropped the ball on Walker. I agree that we have not missed on many instate kids but should that be unexpected for LSU? The problem that I have with this one, is that Walker wanted to go to LSU, but PM or LSU coaches never even made an effort to establish real contact. In his sophomore year at LSU, before he had Tommy John, he was a top 50 prospect in the country. He has returned to form and is more dominant than ever. I don't blame the kid for going with an MSU team that offered him right away and it's hard to blame the kid for not sticking with a program that made a commitment to him. Right now, MSU baseball does not take a backseat to LSU's program. LSU has come around and who knows, but I think that if PM and Dunn would have at least tried to establish a connection earlier, they would not be in this position. He has been having increasing number of major league scouts at his games and he will get drafted. No matter, he will be a great college pitcher.

Walker is done, maxed on pitches.
115 is a great rule.
I remember kids going 140+ a few years ago.
They woulda rode Walker for 16 innings if needed.

And that game was insane. What an atmosphere and what a ball game. Who needs MLB?

Jesuit
Jesuits ace went just over 100 pitches...
And they have 3 more aces behind him... and that's with 2 of their other aces not playing baseball anymore.
If it was 3 game series' to win a championship Jesuit would be locked in. The pitching is unreal.

Barbe and Jesuit will be a good game. Similarly, Jesuit threw their ace for 7 innings then brought in another arm for 2 innings.
They don't play.
But they should. frick the LHSAA.

Speaking of stupid..
Yea stupid to think a team ranked in top 10 all season is a better program than the one that might not make a regional.
Might want to check lsu record since Florida broke us in the finale.

I call it arrogance since he felt that it wasn't even worth reaching out to the kid. Maybe that's not the right word, but its either that or piss poor evaluation. We've got standing room only in a bullpen that has an ERA close to 10.0. Why would you not at least try to have an open line of communication. Odds are that he is not going to be drafted high enough to keep him from college, but even if he does, you take that chance.

I don’t know the situation but if I had to guess, LSU waited to see how he responded from surgery and MSU didn’t
