“That has zero to do with being “blown off the ball”.

Great rebuttal. Your X and O knowledge is one of a kind. You’ve been wrong on this board so many times I can’t keep up. And you are again. If you wanna actually learn there are plenty resources available these days.

The long Sanders run was on Weeks
Certainly was. You know how coaches always say "do YOUR own job and let the others do theirs". LSU had that play completely stopped inside but Weeks showed hideous positional discipline and crashed to the inside from his outside position. Sanders found nothing inside, bounced it to the outside, and guess what....Weeks wasn't there and in fact was being blocked at the place he was on the field. Weeks gets 100.0% of the blame on that long TD run...not the interior LSU line...not the DC. DO YOUR DAMN JOB!

First big Sanders run was for around 30 yards. Our DT was single blocked and completely washed out of the play. The first and goal play where they scored immediately after the same thing happened only worse. You can pretend like the only time we gave up yards this year was on two plays but the reality is our DTs get whipped all the time

First drive, the long run then the TD run

That play is likely on Penn. Looks to me like a stunt by DL with Weeks blitzing into the B gap. Leaving Penn for the A. It is possible that Breux went too far on his slant and cancelled the wrong gap. Either way the DL doesn’t get whipped at all. Breaux is actually in great position with extension just doesn’t find the ball carrier. Again DL not getting blown off ball. Just a bust by Penn I’m
pretty sure.
pretty sure.

Please give me your assessment then? After watching again I’m leaning toward Breaux over slanted his gap. Hard to know for sure but it’s either Breaux or Penn with a bust.

There’s no stunt or slant he just gets washed out of the hole. Same thing on the 1st and goal, same thing on the second TD run. It happens routinely.

I’m not trying to contradict or argue with you man, this is what’s happening so don’t feel like you’re losing an argument by acknowledging it. I’m never going to say I told you so or “eat crow”, just trying to talk ball.

He’s lined up a 3 tech and slants all the way to the A gap where he takes on the center. That’s not getting washed down. How the heck can a center wash down a 3 tech. And on the TD run it’s a slant again Look how him and the end both fit inside the blocks trying to cancel inside gaps and force the ball to the free players outside. Weeks screwed that play up too. Didn’t realize that until rewatch. Thanks for that.
Edited to add. If it’s not a slant on that first play then why does Weeks blitz into the gap Breux is lined up? You wouldn’t blitz somebody into a gap that another player is supposed to be in.

That’s not a slant, he just steps down and the center single blocks him and washes him out. If it was a slant the other DT would be slanting too. Maybe we’re talking about opposite DTs or something. I’m talking about the guy lined up on the left side for us.

I’m talking about Breux. That is 100% a slant. You know just bc 1 guy slants on the Dline the others don’t have too. That’s how NCAA football on Xbox works but real football doesn’t work that way. That is 100% a slant by Breaux with a blitz into the gap he left by Weeks. The fact that you don’t understand and think that the other DT has to slant too shows me you know zero about how modern defenses work. This isn’t an opinion it’s a fact. Why would a coach blitz Weeks into the gap that Breux was lined up? Because he had Breux on a slant inside trying to pull the guard with him and send Weeks free. This is very very basic football that junior high coaches would know.

Madking said Swinson sucked last week.
Then Swinson got 3 sacks this week.
Guy really knows DL play lmao

If you ever wanna learn some football and drink a beer we can get together and I can show you a few things. I was a coach in my former profession. Have a great day!

Met many a person like him in my time. Pretty sure he was anti Jay before the baseball Natty and is still anti Jay. Just miserable people that think they know sports but don’t know a darn thing. Probably a good person if you got him in a real life situation and would be embarrassed to spout his nonsense.
