Is there any hope for that group to be serviceable enough to finish out this season 8-1?

The interior line played great. None of the long runs were on them.

The long Sanders run was on Weeks and the Sellers run was on Swinson. Interior DL has been a pleasant surprise.

DT is the worst position on the field. They’re getting blown 3-4 yards off the ball pretty much anytime the opponent wants.

Go watch the successful runs SC had. They weren’t on the interior DL. They were assignment bust. Weeks, Penn, and Swinson all had bust.

The reason we’re having to run blitz so much and the reason those guys are having to take so many risks is because our DTs are so bad. Any run from guard to guard gets 4-5 yards unless we’re sending guys or LBs take gambles to try and stop it.

On the bust by weeks there was no blitz. On the bust by Swinson there was no blitz. On the bust by Penn we sent Weeks and Penn got lost. Go back and watch the game. The long runs were assignment bust not gambles that didn’t pay off. I can get specific if you want but I know you avoid specifics as much as possible.

Don’t get me wrong Penn isn’t much better but it’s that Triangle of death in the middle where all our problems start

You misread what I said, I didn’t say those plays were blitzes.

You very clearly lack football knowledge. Might want to take a break.

Well besides those plays we were darn good against the run. Just like we were against USC.

We have 18 TFLs this season, our DTs have combined for 1 of those.

That has zero to do with being “blown off the ball”. Baker is gonna scheme the TFLs. Especially with our best DT out. We just need the middle to be solid and they have. It’s okay to be wrong. Like you were about Swinson.

There's nothing dynamic about him, but from what I've seen, Paez has held his ground pretty well.

Peoples doesn't get enough credit for what he's doing with the DEs. Swinson and Savion have already exceeded last season's sack total and the DE's have 6 sacks in 3 games vs 8.5 in 13 games last season.
