You're getting one next year in Jake Slaughter. 6'2-3" 200+ and scored 35 TDs I believe his junior year for OCS at WR. Won state in football and baseball. Sat out senior year to focus on baseball.

I played him all throughout high school and junior high. He was committed to Tulane for baseball as a sophomore until LSU offered. Great athlete and OCS's best football player as well. Mark Laird to this day remains the best athlete/football player I've ever played against. He was so smooth on the football field at any skill position and could flat out fly.

The Padres are close to going over their pool money already (if everyone left signs for slot, they'll be over by 131k). They still have some room on their +5% number if they want to use it, and they could possibly get their remaining guys under slot. The last two signings were HS guys that went $1MM over slot.

TL;DR version - Looking good for Poche to come back, but we're not out of the woods yet. 24 days left.

No, I simply don't spend every waking moment monitoring replies to my posts.

Suddenly people think I'm a troll because I expressed my opinion about Lowell Narcisse and would trade his commit for an elite LB or DT. Not true. I'm a die-hard P&G guy who sees things in black and white, believes in moral absolutes, playing the percentages, and would give anything for an undefeated record and a national championship this year.

As for playing the percentages, history tells us you have a much better chance winning a national championship fielding a stinking nasty defense than having a left-handed QB. It's that simple.
