How has Honey Badger and Juice Joining Changed Your View on the Saints?

Long time Saints hater here. Very few LSU players, Sean Payton, and the NFL in general have turned me off.

With Allen at the helm, and our beloved Tigers on the roster now, I'm actually looking forward to the season and cheering them on.

Contrary to popular belief, Among NFL teams, The Saints have drafted the 8th most LSU players in the last 20 years.

The idea that they hate LSU is because most of those draft picks came in later rounds..3-7.

Pro coaches do not care what college you attended....can you make plays, or not, that's all.

This and they prioritize their teams biggest needs. They tend to know their teams better than we do. I don't get set on them taking any specific ayers at any spot. I approach the draft like they're all Christmas or birthday presents. Whatever we get, we get.

When they turned on Drew Brees for his beliefs on standing for the National Anthem and then when he knuckled down and started kneeling, I was done with the Saints.

They can not undo what they’ve done. frick them!

I haven’t noticed that at all. I’m in the Active Duty military, which is a giant melting pot of fan bases during football season. Last year, the Bengals fans were almost euphoric to have other people paying attention to their team and cheering them on.

Anyone could've used Drew. He did a hell of a job with no QB or receivers the last couple years, too, though.

re: How has Honey Badger and Juice Joining Changed Your View on the Saints?
Long time Saints and LSU fan. Never stopped loving the Saints. Of course I hated the shite that happened with Brees. I think both political sides were, and still are being stupid on that subject. It’s also super hypocritical if you hate the Saints and Brees, but are now a Bengals fan, and turn the other cheek whenever it’s well known that Burrow is far more liberal than Brees. I don’t hate or fault Brees in anyway. It’s just stupid though if you use politics as a reason for hating a team, and still watch other teams in the same organization.

I think people not liking the Saints because “they don’t draft LSU players”, is stupid as well, because one it’s not true, and two no pro team has any allegiance with a university. They could care less about that shite when it comes down to who they think fits their system the best.

That Brees/Payton era were awesome, and that 2009 Saints Super Bowl season is my favorite season of any of my favorite teams, in my life. 2019 LSU and Astros in 2017 are tied for second. I love that we added Jarvis and the Honey Badger. Helps our offense and makes our defense even better.
