How good will LSU special teams be this year?

Presume Kiffin’s kick off teams are the most in shape on the roster with all the O’s scoring on the way.
How good will LSU be across STs? 1/3 the game gets 1/8 the love. Difference makers in a transition year, Y or N?
Coaching?
Specialists talent?
Speed?

I want to see some headhunters out there on kick off and hopefully we are scoring alot which will give the headhunters a lot of heads to hunt!

In the BK era we had bright spots on offense and bright spots on defense.
But special teams was consistently bad every year.
It’s not a glamours part of the game but I’m looking forward to having some type of improvement under Kiffin, which will happen if he even cares about it, which is more than Kelly ever did.

Joe Houston is the Special Teams coach. Brought over from U of Fl. He spent 4 years as an assistant with NE Pats.
2020-23 New England Patriots, Assistant Coach, Special Teams.
Last two seasons he was #33 and 37 in Special Teams at Florida.
Last 5 years our ST finished 61,117, 109, 64 and 40th.

Ok football mathematician.
Field position matters big time!
FG kicker typically highest points on team.
Momentum wins / loses games. Often born & raised when STs are on field.
Lots of player experience-building going on for future years…on STs.
1/3 the clock, no.
1/3 Impact to game’s outcome, hell yes! Ask FSU. Or Billy Cannon.

Yes it matters but it's not 1/3 the game. It gets 1/8 the attention bc that's what it is. It's not 1/3 the clock or 1/3 the plays. Can STs cost you a game? Absolutely, and theyre also probably underappreciated. but no one in the world would trade a great offense or defense for STs.
Kickers lead the team in scoring bc they're the only scorer on their unit. A WR has to share his points with 2 RBs, a QB, a TE, and 3 other WRs. Defensive players rarely score points and no ones arguing that STs matter as much as defense.

6 is twice 3 and 6X 1. Ahh…Nevermind. Field a team without a kicker on roster. Report back how that went for game’s / season’s / coach’s career outcomes.
Define impact by whatever math or non math you choose. STs matter.
