Genuine question. Just wondering how much our retuned unproven offense will have to go against?

LB - one of the best groups in the country.

DB - full of experience and a couple future NFL players

DL - weakest link. Just lost a DT to injury. They still have some experience there though.

Miami has recruited well recently as well
It won’t be easy.

They will be great, probably the second toughest defense on our schedule behind Bama

I would guess state, Auburn, and Georgia will be just as good or better than Miami on D.

Good, but not as good as some of the replies in this thread would suggest.

Last year's stats:

28th in scoring defense (21.0 per game)
38th in total defense (362.8 yards per game)
43rd in rush defense (145.7 yards per game)
56th in pass defense (217.1 yards per game)
105th in red zone defense (teams scored 88.1% of the time)

Where they thrived was disruptive plays, i.e., sacks and turnovers. Third in the country in turnovers (31), number one in sacks (3.38 per game) and number four in tackles for loss (8.5 per game).

Protecting the QB and not turning the ball over are key.

So we really need to establish the run against them

They have more than adequate edge rushers though

Will give us fits if we're truly moving to a pass first offense

News flash- Wisconsin was 44th in total offense we were 51st

With grossly different schedules.

Miami is week vs the run and they got weaker.

Yea, but we were better in every category expect TO margin.

LSU was 14th in scoring defense; 12th in total defense; 14th in time of possession, Miami wasn't even top 50; LSU was 24th in rush defense.

CEO has got to get this offense fixed in the next two weeks. I believe LSU defense will be stronger this year and the offense will have an easier time moving the ball on Miami, then Miami will have against LSU.

We all know how Mark Richt is. When he can't run or pass, he'll resort to the gimmick plays.
