How good is Dylan Crews?

He is the most natural looking baseball player I have seen at LSU in a long, long time, maybe ever.
At the plate, in the field, on the bases....he does everything so smooth and at full speed. This young man is super-special!
And we got him for 2 more years.....?

I’m not sure I would consider him an elite defender but he is an absolute star.

He’s definitely the best since Bregman, possibly a better hitter. But Bregman was an elite SS; Crews hasn’t shown anything special playing the outfield

I love Bregman, but Crews could prove to be better...
I don't want to compare greatness as they are both great, but this young fellow is absolutely amazing.

Let’s hold off on the in the field comment. He has a very strong arm but has taken some really bad angles on several balls. One of them ended up costing them a game

Him and Morgan are 1A and 1B for me. Morgan is sporting the highest BA as a Freshman in a long time. I'm not sure who holds the Freshman batting title but Morgan is at 0.372 right now ahead of Bregman.
He has a chance to have the highest BA as a Freshman since the gorilla ball days.
