Football title?
I know there is the thread but wanted to find out if it’s as simple as raising a banner or statute make some shirts and shite or submit some documentation to the NCAA or something more like that to officially accept??

Anyone know? Just curious

I don't know what they are building in front of the stadium to go along with this year's title, but if it's truly for 1908, it just feels weak. Why now? We just dominated 2019, why take anything away from that??

The NCAA already recognizes LSU has co-champions that year.

Just crazy based on the polling history I mean we are mentioned n in the books as a Champion for one of the major polls.
I mean it’s not like it’s some Capn’ Crunch recognizes poll or something.

I think you just raise a flag in the stadium unannounced and add it to the media guide. Then move on.

You do so, ceremoniously, the night you play your current rival at home. Do you ever think two national championship banners have been raised during one game. Exactly! You actually build up to the 2019 championship to start the 4th Quarter. 1908 at half time with some pomp and circumstance. It will be a tough ticket to get.

Absolute truth!

From 1894 to 1942, there was no SEC.
LSU was in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Association acknowledged by NCAA

NCAA was founded in 1906, so the Title is absolutely GENUINE AND EARNED.

The 1908 Team was the greatest team in the first 75 years of CFB

The 2019 Team was the greatest in the 2nd 75 year period.

The 1908 team averaged more points and allowed fewer points than the 2019 team.

The 1908 team 43 point margin of victory is the greatest in CFB history.

The 1908 team allowed 5 points in 10 games giving up only 1 TD, that equaling 5 Points.

Three safeties were given up by the offense, that accounting for the other points

Find out whom claims it currently....seek them out....and make them wish they were never born. Or just claim it

Easy. Tell it like it is... No more, no less.

Order the banner & hang it up:

"1908 NCAA National Co-Champions"

(and no shame sharing - Pennsylvania was a Big-Time program in that era)

Or just "1908 NCAA National Champions" Michigan claims their co-championship with Penn as an outright championship.
