Seems like Kelly is happy with their development. How do you think they will hold up, and do we have enough depth?

Still on the fence

Just don’t have the horses at safety and corner imo

Just give me a top 50-60 pass defense, that's all I ask

Safety still a big concern

Interesting to see how Ju Juan Johnson fits in when he arrives this summer

Sage Ryan is a starter still so that’s a real concern.

It’s crazy how bad our DL and DB recruiting and development have been in recent years.

It’s so radically different than the 2000’s and 2010’s.

We’re gonna get lit up on the wheel like normal. Our corners didn’t look great our safeties looked easily beat. Glass half empty we’ve got a long way to go. Glass half full our offense is really good. Figure the glass is half filled going into the fall

Not good at all and about how I felt coming into last year but last year atleast we had Greg Brooks coming into season. We have bodies but nobody that’s proven to be good and nobody really with blue chip talent.

Need to get some talent out of the portal and cut bait with dead weight to free up spots

We need to improve the depth and quality of the cornerbacks. It is our second most pressing need after defensive linemen.

A lot of press coverage in the spring game. Woodland and Stamps looked good. Sage and Burns had miscommunication issues. Gilbert struggled tackling in space.

I think you have to give Toviano, Jackson, Yaites, and McBride looks in the backfield. There's clearly upside there, they just have to figure out how to use it. Plus, You get Alexander back by fall.

While they weren't great in the spring game, there is clearly reasons to be encouraged.

Still too young and inexperienced. Deshawn Mcbryde and Kylin Jackson need to learn what to do fast. I have no faith in Sage or Jardin Gilbert to make plays against SEC receivers. Corner should be better than last year with more quality options to throw out there.

The young safeties are considerably more talented than the starters.

I saw #14 on the field and had a bad flashback. If the DBs can just be more liable and learn to actually tackle someone instead of being a matador for their run to the end zone. P.J. stuck his head in there and made some tackles. It's part of their job description.

If none of the young guys can beat out Major Burns and he is again the starter it's going to be another long season for the defense.
