Actually, I want to start. That's why I'm lobbying the way that I am. I thought that everybody knew that.

How about reading a few threads before commenting, Dude.

I thought that I had made it pretty fricking obvious.

Oh ok let me go dig through all the post and find why I should already know you should start "dude". That was a great joke though.

I think that he is a caring and wonderful human being...leaving the Marine curb-stomp episode aside.

so next year when Mettenberger is starting, are you going to feel the need to bash him for his past mistakes too?

Or Brad Wing? Even though he isn't a quarterback he's a significant part of this team and gets a lot of media attention.

I think I would feel much better with a QB that got us to 8-0 almost mistake free, and stuck with that guy through a bad half before just abandoning him for good...JJ is just too damn streaky for me to have confidence in him, he's a redshirt senior and still looks way too confused at times. Then again I'm not a coach so what the hell do I know

Well, one thing you don't apparently know is his proper classification.

Are you sure you guys follow LSU football?

I like JL. He is a stand up guy and a good athlete. In most games I would rather see him play than JJ. However, JL does seem to try to forces some passes to receivers. His second interception at bama, I think he was trying to make something happen and got baited.

Bama has one o the best secondaries in the nation. I honestly feel more comfortable with JJ. Sure, he may han on to the ball alittle too long sometimes, and his flip passes scared the heck out of me but somehow he pulls it off.

Most of all, I think we will need a good game from both JJ and JL so we can beat Bama so badly that no one will question the results of this game.

I'd feel better about either if they could show an ability to look off wideouts and go to a second or third option.

That said, it seems that JJ has played well in previous bowl games, so I'm optimistic about his performance. If the Tigers can produce a legit passing game, Bama will be hard pressed to stop them.

Get used to it..Miles will not take JJ out no matter how crappy he plays..Let's just hope the next time he throws the ball on his way down being sacked the ball goes in the right hands..

Hopefully, LSU will finally have a good QB...both on and off the field in the coming few years.

Wasn't like half the team out that night with JJ? Do you realize that the only reason we have Mett next year is because he was kicked off the Georgia team? Didn't Mett already have another situation at LSU involving a fight and someone pulling out a gun? But you are right, he's more of an ambassador off the field than JJ.

He he hit 10 of 13 passess for 140 yds, a TD, and had a QB rating of 195.

well, to be fair, about 75 yards came on one play 60 coming after the catch. so if he was 9/12 for around 65 yards the rest of the game, yeah that's pretty pedestrian

Sounds like every Jarrett Lee passing game this year. 1 long pass play to Randle and a bunch of short stuff the rest of the game.

First of all...a thug pulled the gun..not Mett...and I would rather have a QB the grabbed a little tushie...than kicking someone in the head that is on the ground..

Les Miles always has his team ready. JJ will have the game of his life and send Lil Nicky home to take his beating from the Gumps that will turn on him like rabid dogs.

How about a little positive energy going to our amazing Tiger team instead of all the gloom and doom?????

Show the nation how unstoppable we are!

4 weeks prep time, JJ will be fine. Now we may want to get Mett ready to go as well.
