Yea, I'm assuming they landed at BTR...but knowing how fast they fly and given that they weren't seen until the second half, they could have gone all the way to belle chasse if they needed a longer runway...

Hi neighbor .. I'm in 419 ... right across the aisle from 420.

Flyover was totally awesome! I tear up every time with the National Anthem ... the flyover made me cry ... yeah, I'm a woman!

My buddy and I were in Afghan. He took this video. Now this is a flyby. Enjoy. I have some that I have not posted. I will post some in the morning.

Flyover was gr8, would be awesome, like previously said, to get some B-52s from Barksdale. I heard em practice on Thursday too, in fact it woke me from a nap as well.

Gonna call on some folks up at Barksdale, I still talk to. See what they say about it. Probably get nothing accomplished but it is worth the try.

Wonder if the reason why you don't see more of them in flyovers is because of how it isn't as common as the fighters, or because it is simply too loud.

Or is that just me....always thought the A-10 was an arse ton louder than a fighter.

tiger 91... No not from Mamou, but I am a pilot (private).... long story, but Im out here on the West Coast in Southern California... land of SC homers. I ended up out here as a firefighter/paramedic. My roots are in La. I have tons of family down in Lafayette, VP, Mamou, Covington, and BR....

The A-10 is a model that is HUGE (12 foot wing) powered by 2 miniature turbine engines. ! I build them in my free time, and have had a couple used in some movies... I picked the Barksdale colors, just because it is where my dad started his time in the AF. DOGPATCHERS !

So to answer your question.... Not in Mamou, been to Freds lots of times to see my cousins play (Steve Riley), and I don't live in Louisiana right now, but my heart is there. I miss it tremendously.
