The best thing that I saw out of Fournette was that his power/balance combination that was so hyped coming into the year is there in a BIG way!

He initiates contact puposefully, and isn't knocked bacwards. He will learn to find the holes, and once he does, he will be the starter.

Post his numbers without the D Line blowing him up in the backfield.

Well who botched the pitch? It was his fault all the way. If you are going to give him credit for positive things, you can't just ignore the negative.

I think you can only compare a RB to the other RBs on his team, and we weren't blocking for shite till the 4th Quarter.

No one is pretending Fournette couldn't have run through that 10 yard hole the line opened up on the TD.

Any running back could have a good game against SH.

it wasn't a great pitch in the first place, but it hit him in the hands. he should have caught it. first college game ever. he'll learn from it and not make that mistake again.

this kid is about to break out.

I love Fournette and he will be a great one.. but honestly I will not sugarcoat anything... He sucked!!! A lot was the OL did not block well and the plays, that slow moving read option was like here I am getting this slow hand-off and I don't have any momentum starting my run, come get me defense. Well he ran right into the pile at least with effort.

On the kick-offs he would run right into the defender's arms???

He will get much better, and it will take a bad team to let him gain some confidence then he is off to the races

the rush total was 17 yards for the first half. the whole offense was brutally bad at blocking and running.

so dumb... the rushing offense was shite in the first half and he was still gaining positive yardage. Fournette wouldve done just as well as hilliard in the 4th.

fournette rushed for more than that but lost a ton of yards on a botched pitch. not really an accurate account of his rushing yards IMO.

They actually handed the botched pitch loss to Jennings. LF had 7 carries for 21 yards prior to that final, ill-advised pitch he carried to the near boundary, losing 3 yards. They should have run straight ahead there IMO. Thus he wound up with 8 for 18. He'll be fine as soon as he starts using his vision and quits trying to steam-roll college guys. Trucking folks has it's time and place but not on every damn play. I'm certain the coaches are going to fix that. He did show good skilz running back kickoffs against a pretty good coverage unit.

My God, he was plowing people lol. I can't wait to see him start to shake and bake. On the KR, you could see his speed.

Chubb looked amazing, went through 3 tacklers then turn on the jets to get pass the rest.

This. He needs to juke more often. Easier to run someone over if your juke sets up a bad angle for the tackler.
