My argument would be that Dabo isn’t “on that level” either. “That level” being Saban. Yes, what he has done at Clemson has been outstanding, and yes, he has beaten Saban twice now. But I would say if you gave Clemson an SEC west schedule for the last 5 or so years, they lose an average of two games a year. What Saban has done is a level of its own, ain’t NOBODY on “that leve”l.

I've been subscribed to the LK for awhile now. JP puts together a good show, although I haven't seen this. Going to watch it now, thanks.

That's a really good take and I agree. Ed's humility is a tremendous and easy to overlook asset.

I’m not sure about anything that guy said except when he said O is married to winning. I think THAT is what has made him successful at LSU and WILL make him successful anywhere he would go from here on.

He’s not prideful, he’s accepted his past, he’s made the proper moves to make positive change and I also don’t think for a second that he’s this dummy. He is a smart man and goes with his gut but now he doesn’t just go on a hunch, he goes with it when the odds favor him. There’s a difference in blind risk taking and well thought out risk taking.

A lot of people don’t stop to think that Coach O trained under some of the best football minds around when they were winning NC. Jimmy Johnson, Pete Carrol. O is not the dummy everyone portrays him. He picked up everything they could teach him.

The dark point of his career was the Ole Miss gig. But that is not as bad as people thought. When he took on Ole Miss it was a dumpster fire. For two years he took it on the chin, while he built it up. Then they fired him so they could hire Houston Nutt. Nutt seemed to validate their decision when he had a couple of fairly successful years until he runout of Orgeron’s recruits. Nutt was a lousy recruiter. Then the dumpster fire returned. The AD at Ole Miss recently said it was a bad mistake to fire O.

Everywhere he has been O has been the top recruiter on the staff. That is another thing that is a HC quality.

No reason to think that O can’t reach for greatness and succeed.

Dang, 247 hired Josh. Congrats to him but I have a feeling his future content won’t be the same.
