News flash there’s cowboys fans everywhere you go. You can go to a place like Columbia SC and find them too. They’re a historic franchise like the Steelers and the Pats. It’s easy to understand fool.

Better hope there's more Louisiana kids like that bc it looks like Eaux just lost out again on the recruiting trail for a DL target. DL board is getting pretty thin which is puzzling considering that's Eaux's strength

Those of us that are from Baton Rouge that grew up in this city have a different type of tie to LSU than even those that are just a few miles up the road in North LA. When a player from the state decides to go to another school, especially Alabama over LSU it is something that goes beyond a slap in the face or a betrayal, it's more like an impossible and inconceivable option that simply isnt within the grasp of our understanding. To go to Alabama is as if you have just joined the hated enemy gang that is more like a blood feud between rival streetgangs and the hurt runs deep for us. And it's not just north Louisiana. Landon collins is the one that still but me the most and he was from Acension parish right outside of the area here. North LA caught a lot of crap for the choices of a few kids and the whole boycott thing, watching prospects we needed not only leave for another program but insult us as a team and that was something that made the perception of every player from that area now that leaves now seem like it's also that much more an inspection than it already is. But yeh....this team has thrived off of north la kids for decades amd won big with them forever. West Monroe, Evangel, etc... powerhouse program that have brought in star lsu greats. And I believe it's all very much more over stated about how much this supposed disconnect truly is in the north side of the state. Blown way out of proportion. And it's plain dumb for everyone to keep bringing it up....

That’s a little dramatic. Just because a kid picks the tide over us doesn’t mean he’s some traitor. Maybe he never liked LSU growing up or maybe he wanted out of this state like many regular people like us do every day. It’s not just about loyalty. Look at the bigger picture. There’s life outside of Louisiana. So it’s okay for people to leave the state for their family and career but when a kid does it to play ball, he’s a POS?

We loyalists in N. LA feel the same way you around B. R. do when a LA kids leaves the state so don't feel pregnant.
I see too many statements on here alienating N. LA like it's a cancer.
It appears to me there is still a divide in this state and I see more of it coming from around Baton Rouge, not N. LA.
As earlier posters have state, B. R. has no room to talk when it comes to blue chippers leaving LA. Been more down that way than up this way.
I cringe when we lose a recruit. Pisses me off.
I never had the opportunity to go to LSU but that does not shake my loyalty one bit. I know of big time donors in N. LA who never even finished high school but they give their $ to LSU.
So you cocksuckers on here who throw rocks at someone simply because they are not from the B. R. landed gentry or don't have a degree from LSU can kiss my arse once again.

The Orgeron tour needs to include stops in Shreveport, Ruston, West Monroe, Monroe, Sterlington, Bastrop, Rayville, etc. Especially sit down with the head coaches from Ruston High, West Monroe High, West Ouachita High, Ouachita High, Ouachita Christian High, Sterlington High, Richwood High, Carroll High, Wossman High, Neville High,Bastrop High, Rayville High, Winnsboro High, Caldwell High, etc. Coach O needs to spend 2-3 weeks with and around these programs along with their head coaches. Trust me, that Alabama coach is still on their speed dial.

Really?? Nobody is gonna call him out on this bullshite? Devonta Smith is from Amite. Dylan Moses is from Baton Rouge. He has a point with the other kids but don’t assume every kid who picks bama over us is automatically a NELA kid.
Pretty sure he’s being sarcastic. All of those kids are from BR except Smith, who is from Amite.

Just responding to the topic, not to you specifically Jake.....
The ignorance in this thread is why Louisiana is in sad shape. The biases toward our own people that have been stated is just pathetic. We are one damn state and like any place, there are people with connections to other schools/areas but at the end of the day Louisiana is one state and needs to stick together. You can't group an entire region as disloyal bc certain folks go elsewhere.

And another thing, when Charlie Weems (Alexandria) ran the board we did pretty good.
When Bombay Bobby took over the state, and most of y'all voted for him, LSU as well as everything else went to hell in a hand bag.
N. LA is not well represented on LSU boards, TAF, etc., in my opinion.
The greed around B. R., all you good government types except when it comes to your spoils, has not done LSU any favors.

everyone wonders why the state is full of litter and negativity. There’s no pride. Everyone hates on other parts of the state. It’s so dumb. No wonder the state is always ranked as one of the worst in the nation in many metrics.

This isn’t unique to LA.
Have you been to Seattle? Western Washington loathes the eastern part of the state. California is trying to split up. I know people in southern Georgia that hate Atlanta and the northern part of the state, etc...
Dallas vs Ft Worth
Tampa vs Miami
I could go on and on
