It is nice having 2 complete and compete DL Units
we have 3 good players to rotate at DE in combinations, Pyburn Butler Payton, but i think we’ll feel it more against bigger teams who want to run power more.

6-8, it really depends on how well his backups play. If Cobbins can go off, maybe a 6.

You forgot Shanklin, I think he had 2 sacks last week and may have caused a fumble?

3.
Coach Peoples is the biggest reason I’m not too upset about loss of production.
Peoples, Kyle Williams, and Baker will make sure our D is elite

Impact is maybe a 2-3. He had 8 tackles(4 solo) and no sacks. He will be missed as far as depth. It’s not a really devastating loss like it would be for Delane for example. We have numbers there.

Compare that two LSU's 4 primary DEs (Reliford, Payton, Pyburn, Butler) who COMBINED have 1.5 sacks and 6 TFLs
No disrespect to Reliford, but he didn’t get any part of those sacks and doesn’t have a QB hurry either.

The kid Damien Shanklin 6’5” 260# from Indy. True freshman, came in last week and had two sacks. He’s going to be a good one.

Hoping this is a coming out party for Mr. Shanklin!

LSU has an embarrassment of riches at D End ((Deepest Position on team))) that have spoiled some fans ....
There are likely several teams that would like to NIL Dylan Carpenter away from BRLA
...Utah ; Iowa ; Nebraska ; Wisconsin ; Kansas State; TCU; Texas Tech etc
But he loves LSU too much ...CBK even complimented Dylan Saturday night
