If we score more points , who cares about Newton . The guy cant throw for shite . He is a faster version of Teblow . They have a terrible D and average skill position players . F Newton

LSU has to take a page out of the Bama/Florida game from the SEC Championship last year. They have to keep Newton in front of them like Bama did with Tebow. You cannot over pursuit and start chasing him. After that game last year, Saban said in the interview that their game plan was to keep Tebow in front of them and not chase him.

I think that the only way to do it. If he gets on the outside, I am not worried about him breaking one off for a TD but picking up 15-20 yds per run which is devastating to the D when you are trying to stop them on a 3& anything.

the key to disrupting any offense is quick penetration on the defensive line. pressure from the dt especially will greatly help us in terms of our fear of sending the house and him scrambling. if at the same time our de's can pressure while having the discipline to keep contain, newton will be in for a long afternoon

This. Looking at the replays of the delay that AU ran over and over against Ark, the AU linemen are knocking the shite out of the Ark DL. If that happens to us, we will lose. If we can get quick pressure, we will win.

Looked like Arky tried playing man-to-man. Can't do that against a mobile QB.

hit him every single play
dont allow big plays
disrupt his rhythm

he's been allowed to do basically whatever he wants thus far...get him out of sync, get him anxious, get him frustrated and hopefully that leads to mistakes

Do whatever Miss St did. Along with Clemson.

He had 136 yds passing and 70 rushing vs. MSU.

Clemson held him to 203 yds passing and 68 rushing.

I like our chances with those numbers.
