How about Nuss running?! Amazing how it keeps a defense honest.

For those at the game, the announcers also mentioned he told them this week in interviews he really needs to work on running when given the opportunity. Love to hear it’s top of mind.

still doesn't run on the read options.

The runs last night were when he scrambled, which is a start.

Only took him 12 games and getting hurt to start running. Better late than never.

No you shouldn’t love this. You should be pissed that it took him this long to actually realize it.

What kills me is that I don’t know why Sloan hasn’t incorporated some QB run options in the playbook for certain situations.. Nuss is not terribly slow and with teams keying on the RBs, you would think they would show it just to keep the defense honest. It would 100% work in short yardage and goal line plays

The lack of creativity and lack of balls that the playcalling has is maddening

I need you to tell me exactly what plays last night were read options and how you know that.

Not his biggest numbers of the season but his most well rounded game. Hit deep throws, check downs and scrambled. Lots to grown on.

Yes, this is true. Also Hilton taking the top off the D really opens things up. Something we've been missing for sure.

Took longer (including bowl game) for Jayden to hit the deep ball, but look how he played the following season.

If Nuss comes back, expect a massive jump just like 5.

If you don't know which plays were read options (last night there were only a few), I can't help you.

No, I will not breakdown the game last night and tell you which plays (play 14, 22, 42, etc.) were read options. Just keep watching football and you will learn on your own.

Ok you don’t have to tell me the exact plays. But tell me how you determine for sure that a play is a read option.

Not this shite again.

I know you are "testing" me, but here goes, although I'm not going to get very detailed.

The QB goes through a handoff action, but reads the DE, OLB, or S to see if he continues with the handoff or pulls it and runs himself.

SMH it has taken this long when anyone w/ a brain knows the offense needed him to at least run it 2 or 3 times a game.

What if it’s a called straight handoff but the QB pretends he is reading the DE to give off the illusion that he might keep it? Or do you not think that’s a possibility?

No OC is going to call plays the QB isn’t comfortable with. Nuss seems afraid to run right now.
