They didn't just request it in the Big 12. This year it is a taunting penalty to show the horns down...
They are leaving a conference they run roughshod over to go to a conference they will get their asses handed to them on the regular.

A horns down ban will get the same response the no cowbells during a play got. The word that comes to mind is “ignored”.

It’s only a penalty to do it to another player. If you chomped in the face of a UF player, you’d get a taunting call too

This is not the Big 12 where Texas held all the cards. This is the SEC baby where Texas is only one university out of a total of 16 universities.
