Hopefully an expanded playoff will weed out the teams that don’t belong in the 1st round.

So having blow outs in the first round of an expanded playoff will be better?

Yes the polls get it wrong more often than right. Playing the game will weed out the wrong picks by the polls and media

Maybe, but it will allow more non deserving teams into the CFP.

Weaker teams won’t make for a better semifinals.

Michigan and Cincinnati did not belong in a semifinal game.

That’s my point an expanded playoff will create better matchups

You’ve provided no evidence to suggest you have any idea what you’re talking about. You’ll have more teams that don’t belong playing against one another before getting blasted by better teams.

Your post is somewhat speculative.....but the Karens in here are arguing you just to argue

I tend to think you are right though. I as well think the extra game will weed out the undeserving and yield better semifinal games.

Expanding the playoff to 8 or 12 teams will weaken the playoff and include undeserving teams, IMO. Keep it at 4.

Debatable bc there may be a solid power 5 2 loss team that came together at end of season that could reckon with 1 or no loss power 5 teams....your points are speculative and based on opinions just like OP

Why would that happen if teams are getting blown out in a 4-team playoff haha. Your logic is dumb. Only way it would weed out shitty teams is if we go back to the computers.

If the playoffs are expanded, obviously more teams will have a shot to make it.

I think this will spread out a recruiting a bit more as more teams will be “playoff contenders” increasing their shot at recruits, which ultimately could lead to more parity than we currently have.

Nonsense

Mor teams and games will only increase the % of the two best teams being in the Championship Game

If that is what we want

And the two best teams this year are in the Championship Game

No, they will just make sure the SEC teams meet in the semis.
