The Jimbo debacle is a mirror image of the BK one. Two years later and they are a playoff lock and top 5 team.
Just takes the right hire which doesn’t have to be some old, recognizable name. Stay open minded.

At least SW won't be making the hire.

BK got LSU fans hoping we do what Texas A&M is doing. What a 180 we’ve had

Look no further than Indiana for what a difference the right head coach hire can be. That school may have a worse football history than even Vandy.
I also think it points to the fact that it's not easy to hire those type of guys.....he had to take a job at a black hole like Indiana just to get a chance and he's in his 60's.
We had the guy here that like to throw the big money and go for the big name hires. So we've tried that.
Somebody is gonna overpay Kiffin whether it be Ole Piss themselves falling for a leverage play by Sexton or some other school willing to back up the Brinks truck....I just hope it ain't us.
But there is a guy out there and may be better to be lucky in that regard than good but hopefully we find that guy.

LSU doesn’t have the money A$M has. It will take twice as long.

Very true but it’s not like they broke the bank to get their coach.

Always helps to get one of the easiest sec schedules I've ever seen.

They get so mad when you bring it up. It’s a lot of fun messing with them. It really is the biggest cake schedule ever.

A&M has intelligent, rational people running the show and making hires. I don’t see how anyone can look at our university leadership and see anything other than a complete shitshow going forward

TAMU and Ole Miss hit the lottery with scheduling this season. This will not occur again when 9 game SEC schedule begins. They both can enjoy the temporary anomaly but its fools gold.
Its remarkable how poorly this entire football season went for LSU particularly with the amount of money involved. There needs to be an independent study done by the university to identify indicators that got ignored. The money faucets will get turned off if the product does not provide a reasonable return on the investments.

Do they?
They offered the job to Mark Stoops and it caused such a fan meltdown they pivoted away from that and hired Elko who was 16-9 at Duke.
It clearly worked out for them but I don't think they are as far along as their record indicates.
There are 4 sec teams who have fired their coach. A&M has played all four. They get Mizzou with a first time freshmen starter who was pissing down his leg the entire game. Now throw in State and South Carolina.
you couldn’t pick a better SEC schedule. It is historic. They may end up not playing a single team from the top half of the league if Texas loses to UGA.

There is not one problem from one player, one coach, one administrator. The whole thing is broken badly and the top priority should be hiring coaches and people at every job in the department dedicated to restoring winning character and values.

Bellichick was probably at the top of Woodwards list.

We hired Verge Ausberry, our fanbase melted for good reason, and our hardheaded governor doubled down. How good would A&M be with Stoops right now? About as good as we’re going to be under Ausberry’s “leadership”

They did/ do to get the players. We tried to get conception and they paid more
