And how in the hell did you know who was coming next? Herman was the name constantly brought up at the time. Were you against hiring Herman if Les was fired?

Oh my God. Are you really this stupid?

I’m sorry for picking on you. Carry on.

It’s like finally getting rid of Michael Scott—quirky grass eater who made you smile and kept the branch profitable but in decline—and then replacing him with Dwight Schrut. Yea, he was born around Scranton and he has his own beet farm and he is loyal to Dunder Mifflin, but he is still getting beat by Bama (Staples) year in and year out.

Nope.

How does this, IN ANY WAY, change the fact that Les had to go?

Gus Malzhan would like a word with you. He claims he beat Bama last year. Surely he is lying since NO ONE Beats Bama with Saban.

Coach 0 LSU teams have the lowest average points against Bama over the last 3 years than any other team with at least 2 games vs. Bama.

Honest question: why did we get rid of Les??
My honest opinion, the LSU administration treated Miles like shite.

I think the administration came to the conclusion that we either COULDN'T compete with Alabama, or were unwilling to pay what it cost in resources to do so.
We were going to continue to make SEC money hand over fist, regardless.
So they have conceded the arms race for now... but that wouldn't go over well with the fans. Not with paying Miles as much as they were, and with him having 1 title and another appearance under his belt. We as fans would expect him to keep us up there.

So the admin allowed/encouraged the already cranky fanbase to sour on him, and demand his canning. They played a song-and-dance about getting "the best", then took Orgeron. Short-term, Orgeron + Miles is still cheaper than it would have been to get Jimbo, but as Miles comes off the books, the savings increase. And the fans now have lowered expectations, so a 10-2 season with an asskicking at the hands of Bama would be acceptable, and in time "a good season"...whereas with Miles it would still be disappointing as hell.
