It's late and I don't have the time nor the crayons to explain it to you.

I mean I could give a real answer with positional advantages but it wouldn't go well for me in the replies

I'll be like Texas and let their play do the talking

In terms of being a playoff contender, I agree

But the team is plenty good enough to beat anyone any given week this season.. stay tuned

I trust Ehlinger so much, probably too much.

Any fear Herman trusts him too much? By that I mean, it felt like he was doing everything by himself at times last year.

Your RB depth makes me wonder if his legs are relied upon too much. I'd hate to see the guy get hurt.

If Texas Oline holds up they can burn a ton of clock on offense dinking and dunking there way downfield.

This is why I think it will be pretty tight for a while. And while we're feeling great about our offense (finally), they'll likely sputter more than last week due to the better competition, and frankly, it was about as sharp as any offense could be in week 1, regardless of the opponent.

We have some studs on defense though, so our confidence isn't misplaced. I believe they'll make enough stops, and create a big turnover or two to pull away in the 4th.

Yeah, if Texas Oline can match LSU Dline, the outcome will come down to a couple of big stops by one of the D's and turnovers...If Texas O can get in a rhythm in the first half, Herman is no idiot, he is going to try to control time of possession with his O and keep the young Texas D off the field as much as possible. I wouldn't look for the Texas O to take any deep shots downfield unless they see an obvious weakness they could expose which is not likely. Herman is content to let his Offense dink and dunk 3 to 10 yards at a time on long drives until the D can prove they can stop those short yardage high percentage passing plays. Throw in a few off schedule runs by Sam and a few decent runs by the Texas RB, and the dink and dunk grind it out offense can be pretty good at wearing down a D even without the explosive plays. All they gotta do is keep the score close until the 4th QTR and then it is anyone's game...

Every game in which Texas is supposed to lose, they play VERY well, it's a Herman thing.

So the best thing Texas has going for them in this game is that they are supposed to lose?

Yikes.

first off the horns return two Oline starters from last year. as for that quality depth. one is a juco that wasn't at texas last year, one redshirted in '16 and didn't play in '17 or '18, one's a RFr and another did not play last year. So four out of the five listed on the UT depth chart didn't see the field last year.

They will be going against a Dline that returns three starters plus two quality backups from last season. The Dline is backed up by four LBs that made the butkus watch list.

Tiger front seven goes two deep at all positions with quality and experience.

I am not confident we will win easily. It will be a hard fought game.

Huh?
Cosmi was an All American last season, Parker Braun transferred in, he was 1st team All ACC each of the last two seasons.
Shackelford started every game last season.

Not sure where this information is coming from, but it is incorrect

you over estimate the quality of Big XII offenses over SEC offenses. Big XII had four offenses avg over 6 ypp while the SEC had nine. Big XII had three teams avg below 5.5 ypp and the SEC had one.

Your numbers are off about QBs LSU has faced and that doesn't take into account QBs that are still in college. That cat from OU that won the Heisman did he go in first four rounds?

Texas replaced 8 of 11 defensive starters. It is basically an entirely new defense. Who cares about the last four seasons?

Huh?

I guess the last two #1 overall picks were in the first four rounds, so yeah.

Your CBs can’t guard our WRs. That’s been my stance on this game since the offseason.

If burrow has time to throw they will definitely get open. You gave up 300 passing yards to La Tech and your pass D ranked in triple digits last year.

Our defense hasn't looked this aggressive and fast since 2011. I'm confident the Longhorns will struggle all night.

I'm not 100% sold on the offense but we're explosive there. I'm concerned about the running game and run blocking.

Tigers win comfortably
