I was really pissed at that caller. Who the frick does he think he is?

Pretend to be polite, but actually kick our head coach in the nuts right off the bat in his own show. If the caller had any balls, he wouldn't have camouflauged what he was trying to say ... "Jarrett Lee needs to be starting/playing, and I disagree with your decision." Because that's the point the caller was trying to make, and he did a big run-around with his failed attempt at being polite and supposedly being some "huge LSU fan."

Regardless, Coach Miles doesn't owe any fan an explanation of why he makes the decisions he is making, MUCH LESS a fan that is obviously disagreeing (in a very public manner) with the decisions that Miles is making.

Don't call yourself an LSU fan, and then punch our head coach in the gut in a very public manner. That aint cool.

And on top of all this, the reason Jarrett Lee didn't start/play was because he was in trouble, so this whole conversation is pretty much moot anyway. So basically this caller stirs up drama where there is none! I hope he feels good about himself....real big LSU fan there.

Wrong.

Many in his business would be considerably less diplomatic.

I'm fine if Les has to remind the occasional whiny swamp-trash his place.

For the LSU season ticket holders like Tim, who feel they are entitled to be given detailed answers about decision making, I think you would have better luck at being a season ticket holder of the Seattle Sounders Football (soccer) Club.

The primary owner, Drew Carey, gives the season ticket holders an annual vote. If they do not like the coaches decisions, they can get together once a year and vote him out.

So, for all of the fans like Tim, go buy tickets for the Seattle Sounders and please allow the rest of us to enjoy the last few games in peace.

This dudes face won't be plastered all over ESPN after a loss. Nor will his job be on the line.

This has been Miles team since 2005. It's not the fans no matter how much money they put up. The caller needs to sit down, STFU and enjoy his goddam season tix.

no.

you missed the point. callers, and fans, and big donors are all in the same category. NOT THE COACH. the coaches make ALL the decisions about who plays and what plays will be run and what patterns will be run and what defenses will be used and none of that is the responsibility of any caller and no caller gets to tell the HC who to play, EVER.

you can buy tickets until you are dead, and you will never get to decide who plays.

and the coach never owes you an explanation for why he makes such decisions.

life is far too complex.

Tim stepped on his dick on statewide radio. It's not in CLM's job description to talk him down off the ledge and keep him from humiliating himself. Now his wife, his kids, his friends, his coworkers and anyone else who recognized his voice know what an idiot he is. That's all on Tim. None of that is coach's fault.

Another thing: Ever notice how it's always a nice round number like 25 years? It's never 23 years, or 19 years. Do people start buying season tickets only in years ending in five or zero? All we have is Tim's word for it that he actually IS a season ticket holder. In all likelihood (and I suspect this is the case) he could be a T shirt fan who never contributed a dime to LSU, but by God he demands some answers on our QB rotation.

frick Tim and everyone like him.

This is the winner. Miles gets asked 1000 idiotic, presumptuous questions by fans every month. Normally he very graciously deflects the question with some mumbo jumbo. It must take great self-control to not say, "You're a giant douchebag." How many here remember Jim Mora? He always grimaced and was visibly restraining himself from attacking those fans.

The only thing Miles owes the fans is a decent product on the field! CHECK. Saban wouldn't have even answered that nicely.

Saban hates the media with a passion. If Tim had called his show with that jive mess Saban would have gone to his house and killed him and his family with his bare hands.

He should be thanking Miles for sparing his miserable arse.

Tim is scum. He is the absolute worst type of person there is.... a cruel, cynical egotistical shark that veils their true self with insincere politeness.

Players want to see coaches have their backs, cuz they have their coaches backs on the football field. So what pays dividends feeding into a segment of the fanbase that wants a certain player for whatever reasons or Showing his players whomever they may be that he will defend and fight for them in the same ways he asks of them...He did the same for LEE in 2008 when he absolutely sucked. Great Job Les win this championship, make that money and let couch potatoes like myself piggy back on the glory of you and your players.
