Did people not even watch the game? It was reported before that Walker felt fine.

LSU Baseball twitter reports suggests their was a pre-existing problem

No shite...it was reported. And it was reported that he felt 100% after his next bullpen.

Had we not won against Florida State and Hess/Poche flopped, then everyone would have asked why he did not pitched Newman.

You can say this about any decision by any baseball coach ever. But that didn't happen, so he obviously made the right call because we did win the game.

We will play a baseball game on 6/21/17, not too bad.

Think about the poor bastards that had to start waiting for football season three weeks ago.

Really very similar to these two.

Hmmm. Didn't know that Curley won a national title.

When you say things like this you lose all credibility. First off you are comparing a baseball coach to football coaches. Secondly you are putting Hallman and Miles in there like they are comparable successes.

If we beat FSU we finish in the final 4. Not upset with that finish or CPM for that, but other stupid losses in the past yes we still hold against him. Why can't we get more stud pitchers like Florida, or Vandy?

PM is not above criticism especially since Bertman and PM used Texas to leverage LSU and Alleva.
PM was never going to Texas and he does make a lot of money now.

I would not trade PM's record over his LSU tenure for anyone else. I think he's done a great job. I also think his record at Notre Dame over his tenure there is as impressive as any coach considering Notre Dame is a northern team and he pretty much had to go on the road to move on during regionals. The bats and the 35 man roster have created parity. It's nice to see TD Ameritrade have more offense this year. I think PM did as well as anyone in adjusting to the new style of game you had to play to be successful. Seeing how Omaha is playing now, I think LSU needs a little more offense going forward but the formula is there to win with pitching and defense.

Who would you get that is better?
Look at all the talent O'Sullivan has had and although he has made it to championship round he still has yet to win a title.

Also, he needs to get a new hitting coach, this team crumbles at the plate when it counts. OSU put on a clinic at the plate yesterday and put the pressure on the D and they crumbled too.

If we are competitive yes, if we are not then no. I get it OSU is great, but they are not that much better than us. I know it's baseball but shouldn't get blown out twice. Coach has to get the players ready. Clearly they were not ready. Yes the players need to play but you can't put all of the blame on the players. Only team that has ever been ready to play was in 09. 08 we weren't, 2013, 2015 and now 2017. Nice to get national seeds but if you can't get past 2 wins you aren't going to even have a shot at winning a title.

Nobody should be upset with this team. Honestly ya it sucks not winning the whole thing but this team has made a great run and it's still not over yet.

the bottom. frickin'. line.

EVERY team goes thru what we did last night at one point or another, even the pros (hell, esp the pros). every facet of the game stunk it up. the best thing is to just "bury it" and move on like it didn't happen.
