who honestly feels lsu will win? if you do feel confident in lsu winning, please explain as to why? what reason has lsu given this season for one truly to be confident in not only winning, but even keeping it competitive. is lsu capable of winning? of course. would i be surprised if lsu won? not at all. but come on, lets be realistic, supporting our team is one thing, but blindly believing lsu will win is just down right laughable.

LSU can stop the run and Bama is a run first team. There are other matchups but this one is key. I'm not 100% confident we'll win but I think we have a shot if we play well.

blindly believing anybody is going to do anything is laughable. I think LSU will win because :

1)We have better players

2)Our players and coaches will be the most fired up they've been all season

3)It's in Tiger Stadium

4)We are due to play a good game

5)Bama is due to get beat

I don't think either team should feel confident about winning this game. I think both teams are evenly matched. LSU has scored a lot of points this year and Alabama is not really a high scoring team. LSU has averaged over 400 yards total offense per game and that is damn good.

I think the game is won by 3 points or less and either team could win. Colt David is definitely as good as Tiffin and it could easily come down to a field goal. This will be the best game of the year for LSU and BAMA I think.

Blindly believing that your team is going to win is being a fan.

I am very confident. 1. For once, we get to play the spoilers against a number one rated team. I was at the Kentucky game last year when they played the part. 2. LSU has not played up to their potential all year long. I think this is our breakout game! 3. Les is going to pull out every trick in the book to beat Saban's arse. He does not want to lose to Little Nikki.

I honestly believe that we win big!!! Although, I always believe that.........

I think we haven't really had a game on offense without turnovers or sloppy play yet. I think if we can come out and execute on offense like the second half of Auburn for an entire game, we have a good chance of winning.

(damn I we'd in here)

If:

LSU rushes the ball for over 200 yards
wins the turnover margin
wins the field position battle

they win

Since you asked...

LSU is a unique position, a position that we have not been in recent years. In the past 5 years, LSU has been the "hunted" with everybody gunning for us, playing up against us, trying to knock us off our perch with our high ranking. Now, this week, the shoe is on the other foot. LSU being the lower ranked team becomes the potential "giant killer" with the #1 ranked Tide coming into town. All of the pressure is on them with their #1 ranking, and the undefeated season in the balance.
There has been no real reason to think that LSU can pull this improbable upset based on the play of the Tigers thus far this season. LSU has yet to play a complete game, in all 3 phases of the game, as "our damn fine football coach says". At some point this young team will begin to gel, the light will come on, and they will start playing the type of football they're capable of playing. At the same time Alabama has not been down much this season, and has not had to respond to adversity, as this team has had to do.
That being said, LSU has lacked a fire and intensity this season, for reasons unknown to me. I feel like this fire will be rekindled on Sat, esp on defense, who quite frankly has lost all respect from the rest of the nation. The game is played on the field, not on paper. You can measure a team by wins and losses or stats that they put up, but don't underestimate the size of the "heart" in our players and in our team. LSU has a chance to knock off the #1 team in the land, a chance to stay in the SEC West, and SEC Champ picture, against rival SEC foe, who happens to be coached by a former coach of ours. Nobody thinks we can win except us. The national media is saying Bama will run the table and represent the west in the SEC championship, completely overlooking LSU. Well, it's time boys, time to play the football, we know you are capable of playing, time to show the nation what you are made of. Time to look Goliath in the eyes and then promptly take his head off, with all of America watching! Time to prove that "We" are one of the best programs in recent history, and "We" are an SEC power, even in a rebuilding year, after the loss of our D-Coord, and the loss of our star QB, in the face of adversity, LSU will get it done this Sat. Time to prove "We are LSU"

what would you call ones opionion in beieving lsu will win tomorrow? lsu has not shown it's capable of doing so? where does one come to the conclusion that lsu will win tomorrow based off of what has been accomplished thus far this season? is that not blind?

Is JPW as good as Tebow and Stafford? In both cases, the pass opened up the run.

We can stop teams that run first.

I am confident that the game will be competitive. But, winning, no I am not. I am cautiously optimistic because of the level of preparedness that Coach Saban insists on,but will the team respond? I sure as hell hope so.

The game of football is as much mental is it is physical and whether or not the teams will be in the right mindset, is anyone's guess.

I'd put the odds at 50%. I think LSU has the talent to win if they limit the turnovers. Playing in BR isn't easy.

Because we have not really been fired up for any game yet this year and we just need our swagger back !!!! If we cant get fired up for this game then something is wrong. I think we come out early and control the line and put pressure on JPW. If we take a lead then we should be just fine !!!

That's very generalizing of you. LSU had trouble with track star running backs last year (Locke from UK and Felix Jones). It was no surprise that UF's were effective in the 4th quarter when the D stayed on the field the entire game. Not to mention we were missing our starting DTs and best LB.

As for Georgia, come on. Moreno is a very good back. Most of his yards came on 2 big plays His 80+ yard td run was just a great individual play. We stuffed him at the line and he made like 3 cuts to get through the line. Very few running backs would pull that same thing off. He is exceptional and he made it happen.

Just see our run D's performances against SC and Auburn. When healthy (wich they should be now) they are capable of playing well up front. Fortunately, Bama's backs are power backs, and less likely to break off 60-80 yard type plays. They are a lot like we were last year. They platoon a buch of guys, go on long drives, and wear you down. If we can keep them from sustaining too many of those drives, then we have a shot. This is at least a better matchup than UF and UGA were.
