I'd be curious how many out of starters have ties to Louisiana. I'd bet several.

Tech had three impressive defensive players last Saturday that kept making plays all over the field. I had to look them up. All three were Louisiana high school kids.
I don’t know if any of the three would have been at LSU pre-NIL, but with the focus of roster building shifting from recruiting to the portal and transfers, then the other schools around the state have an opportunity to grab talented players that in the previous era might have ended up as at the back end of a recruiting class at places like LSU, Texas, A&M, Miss State, Ole Miss, TCU, etc.

I thought there would be some also, but I checked the bios and there were none that I could tell. But I don't know any of them personally.
That was part of the reason I wanted to compile the list. This is definitely not the LSU / Ole Miss LA vs MS player games of past decades. It is a Texas to Florida southeastern US players game with a few others mixed in (QBs from Oregon and Michigan for example).
