Why don't they just stand on the line? Does kneeling improve their eyesight? Heck, go all the way and lie down on the line if you want to be dramatic.

I’ll give him an E for effort. They probably thought their check was cleared in looking at the last batter. Travinski stole his shine. It has been bad this year but this guy was painful all game

Kinda. It flattens the line you're using to judge fair/foul.
