Good luck killing people Van Damn. I'm sure you are able to repel bullets to the head from the thickness of your skull.

It's not TAMU's home field, but I suppose we've already told you that.

Lsu has not and will not kill a Quality team all year. We have no offense.

we win, as always, in the 4th

definitely won't be a "home field advantage"
but i suspect a&m fans will slightly outnumber lsu fans because of the location

as for the game, i think it should be close. since one of yall said lsu gets off to slow starts, a&m usually does too. we're a good 4th quarter team, so it should be a good battle at the end of the game

in my opinion, lsu has better athletes, but a&m just does a lot of things right and eliminates big plays and big mistakes

i will say that lsu has more luck than a&m, it's just part of les miles. when you keep seeing a coach getting lucky, it tells us that he actually might be a pretty decent coach

I'm not saying LSU will kill them, although I do think we win.. But I think the 2 stats to look at here are 1. Miles' record in bowl games.. And 2. Miles' record after a loss.. I think it will be a good game with Tigers prevailing late.

That's true. Miles actually might be a pretty decent coach. He's a good coach.

This will be a close game. A&M is a quality team and this is their biggest game in years.

Yep, and when we beat BAMA after two weeks of prep? I disagree. Smoking something....no, Les has lost how many bowl games again? Les is the man at Bowl games. (Last year field conditions and JJ not included)

last time i checked, penn st played on the same field...tired of the field conditions excuse.
I think you are terribly confused with who exactly we are playing. This is not the texas or oklahoma fanbase, when A&M is rolling they are as loud if not louder than any fanbase in the country INCLUDING LSU. Take your P&G glasses off and be realistic. We havent killed anyone in a long time. This will be a close game and IMO the best bowl matchup this season outside Auburn-Oregon.

I was good till right about here...

quote:

They have to have practice to learn how to yell

Plus, even with standing room tickets, they wont compete.

FYI, yell practice is more of a social event to go to drunk and goof off at...

Trust me yelling isn't an issue and when we get to do it in a stadium where sound doesn't escape shite is gonna get real pretty quick when your offense steps up for their first series...

FYI i have been to some of the loudest games at Tiger Stadium:
- USC in 07 (Wasn't loud, just mentioning that I was there)
- Auburn 07 (Loud and crazy game)
- Bama 08 (Loudest game I had ever been to in my life until this year when we played nebraska - sorry you just can't compete with 30,000+ students)

It's gonna be loud regardless of who is on the field, that I'm sure of

You realize that A&M has a very good defense, too... and their kicker is as good, or better, than Jasper.

While I think we win this one... it won't be because of "all Jasper and defense."

Adam, thank God for posters like you. You are really one of the few realistic posters on this site. A&M hasn't been to a bowl game in a while and they are pumped up about this game. LSU won't kill the Aggies and they owned us the last couple of times that we played them. Every major bowl has a home team. For the SEC, our home bowl game is the Sugar. Big deal if LSU is the home team in the Sugar. Despite what some of you want to believe, LSU really doesn't travel well as a fan base. I was at a Sugar Bowl over twenty years ago when we were playing Nebraska. Nebraska beat the shite out of us and the dome was a sea of red. How far is it from Baton Rouge to New Orleans? Before you kids try to blast me, why don't you check out how many tickets were returned when LSU was the visiting team. You kids need to know your facts before you post.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that LSU's alumni base in the DFW Metroplex is close to being on par with that of A&M's. I've looked for some data to back this up but can't find any. (If anyone can help me out with this let me know.) But I'm from close to there originally and it seems to me that every time I go home I see more and more of the Texas 'LSU' License plates on the highway. I think LSU will be well represented in Arlington that weekend.

edit - alumni and/or fan base

I agree with Bopper50......it will take the Tigahs full throttle and LSU wins...we do have the better athletes...but our attitude better be right and also we must be opportunistic...if there is a ball rolling on the ground on the opponents 5 yardline...maybe we should recover it...also, if we have1st and goal on the Aggie 5 yard line...a TD wouldhelp our cause...anything less...we lose.

Hah, you're right on the first, but the 2nd is laughable. Our FG kicker is not very good. And wait until you see our punters...
