So if our SS AND Second baseman are great on Def. but hit 200 should they stay in the lineup.

You sacrifice the offense at this point in the year. Ross is more than capable of getting hot at tourney time, he had some big hits in regional play last year. Ross is a SEC catcher and the best option you have at this point.

n which case there would be no DH. you cannot DH and play a position as the same time. that's what you call impossible.

I think you misunderstood the comment. I think he meant DH FOR Ross. Not put Ross in the DH spot.

And bat the pitcher??

Just to keep this going...besides Eades, who was a hell of a hitter in high school, what other pitchers would even have a .000001% chance of getting an at-bat?

Dude, seriously? Do you not understand the difference between a catcher and a middle infielder? A catcher is the most important defensive position on the field. The ability to handle a pitching staff is priority number one with a catcher.

I guess he figures any pitcher could easily hit above .200.

I was like, "wait, the solution to getting a poor hitting catcher out of the lineup is to bat a pitcher instead" WTF???
