I'm just following the precedent set by other posters on this board.

That's very Bush league on your part.

This is at least the 5th time you've mentioned Miles' salary either on this board or on the Poli Board.
If I didn't know better, I'd think you're jealous....

Who isn't jealous? Get paid top of the heap money to be a middle of the pack performer...

Nobody believes he is worse than JJ. Put Lee in and let us judge for ourselves. We are at the bottom and can go no lower.
This is not PSP football. It's not for you to judge. It's not a democracy. You have no vote. LSU is not playing for stats. LSU is playing for wins. It can go much lower. We can lose. The coaches are doing what they think is best to get a win. They know these players much better than anyone on this board. Just because you have a different (uninformed) opinion does not make them an idiot.

LSU Russian,

I ask that you take a look at my past posts. I have always tried to be very analytical, fair and positive. I am not a drunk nor do I write these posts while drinking. I do not beleive in booing players.

I do know a fair bit about football and I know one hell of a lot about evaluating preformance under pressure and setting up a team for success. All it takes is being able to analyze facts, accept the facts and make a decision to pursue the next viable option when what you are doing doesnt work

But go ahead and trash every poster here who can see what I see clearly.

Go ahead and be happy with your ride on the Titanic.

I think JJ could be an average QB with proper coaching at practice. He is not getting it. Neither is Miles. We are booing at him and Crowton. Idiot play calling. Let's see what JL has.

For the first time in my life of watching college football, I do not remember a time when there was such an event as this is with the QB performance and not being replaced.

Do you remember Josh Booty?

He is tying his future to crowton and JJ. Period.

I agree completely with this one. The question remains, WHY??? Could it be because of his un-willingness to spend the time in the film room studying his next opponent and grading player performance? After all unlike Saban, Les is a "Family Man". He doesn't put in the long hours watching tape like the other successful coaches in the business do. Therefore he is ‘Depends’ on his assistance to do the work for him and then in turn bring him up to speed. It's no wonder things are the way they are. I’m not knocking the man for wanting to spend time with his family. However, if you don’t do what is necessary to be successful in your job, then your job is at risk. Ultimately if he continues his practice of doing things the way he does, he will be spending a lot of time with his family. Say what you want about Saban, but he put in the time. He was and is fully aware of what the weaknesses and strengths of his players and his opponents are. Obviously Les has been found Wanting in this department.

So because of one quote by a sideline reporter that Les spends Friday night with his family, you think he doesn't spend long hours watching game film any other night? Do you realize how stupid you are, and how bad you are stretching?

I think it is now a matter of pride with Miles.

He is letting his pride get in the way of making good decisions.

And it will eventually cost him his job.

Has anyone ever thought that maybe Lee doesn't give LSU a better chance to win than JJ. Maybe the coaches see everyday that Lee is not better.

This makes a lot more sense then Miles being stubborn or having to much pride to make the change.

Col Flagg,

do I know? Absolutely not.

Do you know? Absolutely not

Opinions are like assholes, we all have one and they all stink.

This is my stinky opinion.

The problem is that the glimpses that we have seen of JL this year all look good. We have nothing else to go by at this point, His performance in 2008 and 2009 are not necessarily good indicators of what his performance could be in 2010.

Spring game - JL definitely looked better than JJ, offense moved more smoothly, stats better.

2010 season play - has thrown 3 pásses, all completions, hitting receivers in stride (1 called back due to penalty) By the glimpses, looks much better than JJ with overthrows, hitting the shoe laces, throwing behind receivers.

Miles own words paraphrased - competition is close, I am looking for an opportunity to play JL and I am comfortable with either guy on the field.

OK - so JJ is struggling badly. Why not at least try another seemingly viable option? Is JL that bad in practice? I seriously doubt it (again - my stinky opinion).

I can say that many times in my life I have seen pride get in the way of good decisions. Sometimes I have only to look in the mirror to see it. It is not uncommon at all. That is the only way I can understand Miles decisions on the QB this year (again my stinky opinion)

Why do I even bother to spend my time stating my opinion? Because I am proud to be an LSU Tiger, I want to see my team succeed, and it pains me to see what is happening with our offense.

Last comment - I am hearing incresing reports that the QB issues are causing serious dissention on this team. That is the last thing any of us want. Miles certainly lost the team in 2008 and I sincerely hope he does not lose the team this year, but it certainly could happen if this continues.

Now what will that do to recruiting, LSU´s reputation, etc?

I dont dislike JJ or any LSU player. I beleive they give their all. But Miles keeping JJ in the game when he is struggling so badly does not help JJ, will not stop the crowd from booing, and will not help the team.

IMHSO (In my humble stinky opinion)

This is scary..I think if this wave continues to build, the chants for JL during the game are going to start soon. It will be interesting how Les Miles responds to that.

I doubt that people would chant for it but I think it would be interesting as well to see it...

I knew this was gonna happen...id be tired of it too if I was a 5 Star WR. and its only gonna get worse as long as JL doesnt get his deserving shot. hate to say it but its true and it can have devastating effects...but again miles fault..
