For the first time in my life of watching college football, I do not remember a time when there was such an event as this is with the QB performance and not being replaced. The Media/fans are in such a diff. place than Miles, I mean a way big different place. This is scary..I think if this wave continues to build, the chants for JL during the game are going to start soon. It will be interesting how Les Miles responds to that.

He is tying his future to crowton and JJ. Period.

It is simply amazing to me that Miles cannot see what is totally and absolutely obvious to virtually everyone else. JJ´s latest struggles are not a one time anomoly. They have been continued, consistent, and getting worse.

I do not know of one coach in the SEC who would still stay with JJ at this time. He would have been benched 2 games ago.

I want to make this clear. It is not an issue with JJ. He has tried his best but is just not performing. This latest issue is an issue about coaching. It is all on Miles shoulder as a head coach. Refusing to change when change is obviously needed is not helping JJ nor is it giving this team it´s best chance to succeed. Miles, by staying with a struggling JJ, when he does have a viable option, is squandering this teams chance at a championship.

I know, I know, we are 4-0. But I also know that our current offensive performance will not cut it against Al, Fla, Aub and Ark. Seeing those 4 games ahead, and not making a change now is just like the Capt of the Titanic telling his helmsman - "Oh dont worry about that little iceberg ahead, keep the same course cause we are making record time."

I love LSU football as much or more than anyone else. I have been a very loyal fan for more than 40 years. It is just heart wrenching to watch such a talented team struggle because of poor play of one position and a hard headed coach.

IMHO

And it's infuriating that he's getting paid $4 million per year for it.

This is at least the 5th time you've mentioned Miles' salary either on this board or on the Poli Board.
If I didn't know better, I'd think you're jealous....

Possibly because "everyone else" doesn't see Lee in practice every day. Do you really want him to come out and say Lee is bad and I'm not playing him because he will continue to throw pick sixes like he did in the spring game?

Are you saying coaches, who see players perform 10 times more each week than fans, might actually know more about those players' abilities than fans?!?

That's MADNESS!!!!

MADNESS, I TELL YOU!!!!!

Nobody believes he is worse than JJ. Put Lee in and let us judge for ourselves. We are at the bottom and can go no lower. JJ should have had a pick 6 this week.

the scary thing is that miles thinks he doesn't have a choice and the scarier thing is that he may be right.

If it is madness to make a change when the current option is not working, then go ahead and call me mad.

But to continue to stay with a player that is playing absolutely horrible, then I say that this is madness.

All the fans have asked is that JL be given a fair shot. He has not been given that. All we have had are glimpses of JL and they all looked good. Why not give him a chance, just like you have given JJ a chance.

I do believe coach Miles began to play Lee but after the short pass on 3rd down he realized as long as the 3-3-5 was in effect, it wasn't a good situation to bring him in off the bench with a 6-point spread. One turnover could have changed the complexion of the game so he stuck with the run to close the game out. IMO, if that same situation had occurred against a 4-3 defense Lee may have played longer. I still believe Jefferson would have closed out the game with 2 minutes left though.

You never want to second guess yourself in a game by making a reactionary move in a close game. South Carolina did so and lost Auburn by going with the cold QB off the bench during their last drive. I believe if Spurrier could do it all over again, he would have stuck with Garcia.

Are you forgetting when those same fans cheered when Lee got hurt in a game in 2008 and had to leave the game?

LSU fans are the most stupid, unknowledgeable football fans in college football. Maybe it's because most of them are drunk when they enter the stadium on game nights.....
