Again, limp wrists like you can keep writing stuff like that while the athletic department ignores it and wins championships.

Wut?

He went 19-21 in SEC play over 5 years. At Ole Miss. in the same division as LSU and Bama.

You and everyone who upvoted this can't complain about Coach O dating a blond again.

That's right. Also the truth of the matter is that the NCAA found minimal violations, and in many ways absolved him personally of most of the findings.

Additionally he bought the escorts for himself with his own personal money. It was not for players. This is a fact.

I'm not judging or condoning what he did, but anyone that doesn't think that there are several coaches out there buying arse or cheating on there wife, they are naive.

His critical error was contacting them with the company phone.

If Jill has forgiven him then who the hell are we not to?

He is 100 percent the slam dunk head coach we need. Immediate turn around with the current talent on the roster and what's coming in.

I’m not a limp wrist in the least. It isn’t your money that is being used to fund the program. How much have you donated over the last several years to the university (not just TAF)? Unfortunately, perception is reality in business and if LSU would hire someone like this the reputation would be damaged to the point that you will lose recruits as a result. It is no different than what Baylor is going through.
You cannot make that hire for the reasons I’ve said. I wanted Miles fired and have been outspoken about Orgeron since he was tagged interim HC. Believe me I’m about winning having suffered through Coach Mac’s mediocrity when I was in school and The several that followed. It was Saban who we know isn’t on the up and up that I was in 1000% support despite beating him at MSU. He had a persona and coaching acumen with a plan that was undeniable.
I say hire anyone that can bring winning to BR as long as they don’t have a dark cloud that will only bring more media shite shows than we already have.

This is a university issue and not just an AD issue. I’m not sure you guys understand the difference. That means that Tate, the Governor, BOS and every female legislature that spoke out against LSU would be involved.

For sure Freeze is the answer....recruits will love this hire. The players on the team, know that he is a winner. He made a mistake....who hasn't in this business....very few like Nick Saban....I am sure if you ask Coach Saban who he would not want to see get this job...It would be Hugh Freeze. But, he woould als recognize the fact of his success. As I recall, Coach Saban wanted to hire him and this was blocked by the SEC. Give credti where due...the previous success was a result of Joe and the OC. Very little to do with the head coach and Steve Ensminger. Both good guys, this is far over their heads to recover the damage that has been done. Alll this can be fixed....this is LSU!!!

we know one who did and has.

It is still an issue regardless of how you look at it. He personally did something that is degrading to women. Women legislatures don’t give a shite who it was for. I don’t know how to put it more simply.

Plus when O gets released of duties, it will be for cause and some of that for cause my be reflected in the behaviors that are spelled out in his contract ie how he represented the university. Just go look at the contract and then ask yourself if you think LSU would fire someone and then hire someone with the same past?

Correct. Saban wanted to hire him the off-season after his firing. Sankey blocked it at the time citing that it was too soon. Freeze was going to accept the position. The following off season, Nick got the blessing to hire him, but Hugh opted to be a Head Coach at Liberty instead. The SEC isn't getting in the way of the hire. It will be us tripping over our own feet if we let him slip away.

Boo fricking hoo. No one should care what they think anyway.

Have an all-male support staff if you have to, whatever.

If we went the Freeze route…

Aranda as HC w/ an assistant as DC in name only

Freeze as OC

This way Freeze isn’t the face of the program and can “coach his way back to redemption”

Freeze isn't taking an OC position. He turned down Alabama once Sankey approved it, and took the Liberty job. He doesn't need to take an OC job to get a P5 HC job. Anyone can see what he has done at Liberty and his past at Ole Miss warrants a P5 HC position at this point. But I do like that you want him in BR.

Time to bring him to the boot

it's amazing how quickly people forget about morals as long as they can win.

Hugh Freeze, the good christian man, making calls/texts to prostitutes using a university phone.
but he can win, so let's forget about that.

After all the info came out about LM being creepy with blonde college girls. Our current HC running around with a young blonde half his age. LSU needs to avoid hiring anyone with anything like that in their history. Which now includes Urban Meyer too

I love Freeze honestly, but you can't fire O "for cause" and then bring in someone with as much or more baggage than him.

So that eliminates Freeze and Meyer if we're honest.

& got most of those wins vacated after getting busted for multiple recruiting violations & playing academically ineligible players. Literally the same stuff our O-line coach got fired for & the reason Emery isn't playing.

Are we really gonna celebrate a 19-21 record, anyways?
