I think most of us now at this point regardless of the outcome of this game is our starting rotation is the Achilles heel and unfortunately that is what you need in Tournament play. Is what it is because the timing is awful with the offensive firepower is good enough to win in Omaha.

We rolled the dice on Money and it ended up not working out but I surely don’t blame JJ with it being his first year around most of his staff. I’m honestly extremely impressed with how we rotate the pitching we do have so when JJ gets his starters locked in years to come we will get that Title back in Baton Rouge.

Mississippi St. made a decent run a couple of years using an opener for the first inning or two.
But, I agree it would be nice to have a Henry, Lange, Nola to start the series.

Honest to god with the Bullpen we have if we had a True 1 guy Hilliard number 2 and rotating 3rd day guy I like our chances but with set 2 guys you wont go to far most likely no matter what

I’m surprised is wasnt truly obvious until late in the season which hurt us finding another guy and giving him enough starts to work through issues and get confidence in time for postseason. We made our beds
