but you forgot with well above average size and power...that is the difference....and you might laugh, but Hill may end up being better.

A feature back defenitely would break a 1000 yards behind this O-line!

Did the O-line impress you that much?

Maybe it's already been noted, but he had TWO runs where he did a version of the 'Trent-Richardson-highlight-reel' studder step causing a NT pursuer to fall. I thought this might be featured more on sports shows. Impressive move for his size.

I still think ford is our best back. I have given up on him getting playing time though.

you can tell he has lost some weight, it has definitely helped his nimbleness and breakaway speed.

He almost looked like Ally Broussard last night

You know this has happened about 10 times in the history of college football, right?

LSU could potentially play 3-4 more games than backs used to play, though, since bowl games count now.

He is certainly faster. He has food vision.

Agree..but (at least) three 700-900 yard rushers is not only possible but probable, with maybe one of those over a 1000. You have to figure they will be well on towards this considering the ooc schedule.

He might be the best rb in miles' era, in terms of pure skill. He's not gonna rush for 1500 yards as a number 2 rb, though.

I could see him having a season like Ridley's 2010 season:
quote:

JUNIOR SEASON (2010)
Had his best season at LSU, rushing for 1,147 yards and 15 touchdowns in what was his first full season as the Tigers' primary running back ... Earned first-team All-SEC honors from the league's coaches and second-team all-conference recognition from the Associated Press ... Became the 13th 1,000-yard rusher in a season for LSU in 2010 ... The 1,147 yards rank as seventh-highest season total in school history, while his 15 rushing TDs tie Kevin Faulk (1997) as the fourth-best mark for a season in LSU history ...

This would be a pretty good year for an LSU back, but I don't see him hitting 1500

It may happen because of the softer non SEC schedule this year. However it is a long shot
Miles and staff want RB by commitee by design
not just split time. LSU will be forced to pass more in SEC games.

Call 1,000 or less

He doesn't have the explosion that Broussard did. He does have very good vision which allows him to find space and he's a bull.

He'd only get better with more carries IMO.

he looked fantastic and so did Blue. It's a very nice 1/2 combination we have at RB and that's BEFORE you even get to Ford
