O said Canada was the best OC in college football when he hired him. So do we have a HC with poor judgment in hiring or a HC that still has ego issues to work out?

The offense wasn't phenomenal, but the jet sweep worked all year. Our WRs averaged 7 ypc on jet sweeps and Gage led the team with 8 ypc and those were all jet sweeps. The jet sweeps were huge in the UF and Auburn wins. Also, our longest run against Bama in a decade was off a fake jet sweep to Gage.

Just the past few days our bitch fans have wet their pants thinking of Brennan in Canada's offense. We truly have the biggest collection of morons.
Canada's o wasn't going to work with Brennan. But this just shows the incompetence of ED. LSU once again has wasted a fricking season.
Wasted last year keeping miles then firing him. Wasted this year on hiring ED and his first big hire being a dud.

If you actually watched LSU’s offense, and thought that Canada was the problem, I? have serious concerns. The person responsible for the mediocre offense out our lies in whomever is responsible for starting Etling over Brennan.
It is obvious that Brennan is the superior talent. Kid shows up and I’m in two weeks is named the back up. They threw him in in terrible situations vs Troy and Bama, expecting miracles. If you are throwing him in, in those situations, then somewhere in your train of thinking, you feel he is the better option. If you feel he is the better option.... Why isn’t he starting.
I certainly don’t think that Brennan would have guaranteed us a playoff spot this season. But i’m willing to bet my sack that our offense would have been much more efficient and effective with Brennan at the helm.
Bama has no problem playing a true Freshmsn all the way to the title game last year.
Georgia is playing a True Freshman this year.
Clemson, a RS Freshman.
This loyalty to seniority a certain positions has plagued LSU for a long time. We most definitely play a lot of freshman. But It’s time for that philosophy to apply to the most important position, the QB.

You’re right. Except for the fact we played like 20 freshman this year, Miles usually averaged playing close to 15.
What “certain positions” do you think we have shown favoritism to seniority???

They ALL played as true freshman, and 3 of them started in games.

I would have loved to see Canada get to work with a good quarterback. I really think Etling held him back this year with what he wanted to do

Yes, being the 5th ranked QB in the SEC after a major coaching change Etling really under achieved. Playing behind a mostly freshman OL with your Heisman hopeful injured is just an excuse.
