Right?

Right?

Right?

After the two games in which Hess struggled, people spewed all sorts of shite about how Hess would never make it as a starter in this league.

Why does no one start threads now?

Are you saying this is the only game Hess has pitched well in?

I see. People only want to discuss Hess after a poor outing. I hope he gives you a big ole shite sandwich to bite next week.

since his first start in which he gave up 8 runs in 2.1 innings, he has gone 6-2 with a 2.47 ERA with 66 Ks and 19 BBs in 51 IP. Opponents are batting .193 against him including his first start. In what universe is that not a good starting pitcher?

The rant overreacted to a small sample size. Shocked I tell ya.

He would like to improve on that. However, he has been much better the last couple weeks pitching to contact. Going from memory, he had only 5 Ks against TAMU. That’s a starter.

He won’t be drafted as a starter, looks like he could have a bright future in the show as a closer though.

He's a very good starter. But he's an elite closer.

No shite.

John Smoltz was an elite closer too. But he had too much value as a starter.

EVERY good hard throwing starter with a breaking ball is an amazing closer. Lange would have murdered fools in the closing role.

You have to consistently throw more than 2 pitches for strikes to be a starter in the bigs. He’ll be in the pen most definitely

It doesn’t matter if he’s a starter in the bigs or not. The argument was/is that he didn’t have the mentality to start at this level. People vomited this out after watching him pitch one game. It looks like he’s proving people wrong, and no one talks about Hess after the good games he has.
