Meh. I thought the same thing last year. I hope I’m wrong but I think we have the starters this year to keep him in the pen. Why put a square peg in a round hole?

ERA over 5 last year hes a bullpen guy. Tiger is right quit trying to put a square peg in a round hole it just wont work

He had such a strong summer, I'd really hoped he'd turned a corner. Still hoping he has. Obviously not the best way to start.

I am always in the minority when it comes to defending Mainieri. I will not defend him on this issue. Hess is a reliever.

He gave up 3 runs in the 1st inning throwing 95. If he does that as a closer we probably lose.

Well if the opposing team had been seeing more off speed and breaking pitches for 8 innings and he comes in throwing 95 the way most closers do,he’d probably be successful
