It absolutely can, but at this moment, Hess is our best option on Friday.

Adam, how do you think we will be able to slow them down? I've only watched Kentucky a few times this year, but Jaren Shelby is a freak on the bases and a few guys behind him aren't too shabby either.

Simplest answer is to get ahead of hitters. I cannot stress enough that walks shall not be allowed.

If Hess, Henry, or Walker break out and give us 7 innings, that would help a ton.

We have Marceaux, Hilliard, and Fontenot to piggyback on the starters and give long relief.

Peterson, Vietmeier, and Beck for short relief. Not sure where Costello has been, but he's good for an inning. If good Aaron George shows up, he can strike out pretty much anyone, but you never know if he's going to walk 3 guys in a row first.

We've got 8 primary guys and 3 borderline guys to give us 27 innings. As long as we throw strikes, I like our chances.

Yep - CPM/AD need to cobble together 27 innings of quality pitching from this staff. Will be a challenge.

Would be nice if our bats gave us some cushion from time-to-time.

I'm much more worried about LSU"s Hitting than Hess, one run a game & swinging at everything, isn't going to win many games.

I'm much more worried about our continual hitting approach or lack there of on a game to game basis.

If anyone is on the baseball team and reading this...take as many pitches as you can against Thompson. Get him out the game.

You know there will be at least one 4 pitch inning for him, just when it looks like we're about to get him on the ropes.

Beloso will be likely batting in whatever inning that is.

Id love to see his pitches per plate appearance. Feels like a 2.5, but its probably better than that

I'm working on that, but I'm only as caught up as the first Cal game. At that point he was at like 3.06 PPA. Definitely the lowest on the team.
